Patching WITHOUT Launcher How-To

I've had the same issue for weeks and I finally found a fix. I figured I would Post a new topic insted of posting this all over.

Generic Patch-MAC
Generic Patch-Windows

Download the above. (Current Patch Above)

It DOES NOT have to be in your eve folder to work.

It will install it WITHOUT the need to even open the EVE Launcher. Everything related to EVE must be shut down. The software may ask you to reboot your PC before it will run and patch your game. After your game is patched open Eve as you normally would. The launcher will load but you just have to click "Play" and you should be good to go.

Option Step (I did this not sure if it is needed):
Clear all Cache files from your bulkdata folder and place them in a new folder. !!-ONLY REMOVE THE CACHE FILES-!! Return them to your BulkData folder before you launch your game. Again, this step is opional and not sure if it is needed. I did it just to be safe.

I could not access EVE for close to 3 weeks or more. Found this today and it worked the first try and I'm now back in the game. Granted I lost a full paid month and a full month of training that I'll never get back but I am back to playing.

Hope this helps at least someone. Worked like a charm for me.

Also, when new patches are released and you want to bypass the Launcher use the link below to get this for new patches.

Just click your OS link above, when on the page just click the "Generic Patch" link and your good to go.

I just wanted to say Thank You for your effort and I appreciate what you are trying to do for the rest of the EVE Community.

The bad news is that none of this works at all. I've been spending the last 2 weeks downloading the full installer because the launcher refuses to patch and reports data corruption errors.

Each time I download (assuming it completes the download at all) it takes 3 entire days for the download to be done. The latest fiasco is that with this patch, I do a full install only to find that the launcher attempts to download more patches and then it Fails because of data corruption errors.

The patching mechanism does not work for everyone (so don't tell me it works for you) and the problem is that there are no other options. You can't do a manual patch any more since everybody is forced to use the launcher.

I am past dreading a new patch. I am quickly coming to the point of being resigned to never being able to log in at all.

The above worked great for me it fixed my issue. The only way the problem will be 100% resolved is CCP giving back the manual patch.

WIthout the manual patch right now, I can't get in at all. Nothing has worked and I'm out of the game until CCP releases some workaround.

Hey, I was experiencing my patch getting corrupted around the 15-25% mark. I am on a Win7x64.

What I did was to :
1: Disable windows firewall, and
2: Right click the launcher and select "Run as Administrator".

It worked for me, for reasons that I do not know. Hope it helps though!
