Any threat in real life should be handled in the fullest extend of the law and withing the rules of CCP.

Though I do hope the law takes that person down first. **** or threatening with **** is a serious offence and I hope they nail his arse for it.

I know twitter is THE primary news source but, it would sure be nice if we could see where his address was "posted" and maybe even audio of the Eve Radio broadcast. Maybe a redacted version? If this is a hoax it's in very poor taste.

If for real, the person who leaked his address should be booted from Eve and the person making the threat should be reported to the police immediately.

But.. REAL proof or gtfo please.

Some random idiot (player x) posted an address that they claimed belonged to Alexander Gianturco in the eve radio public channel.

A few seconds later another random idiot (player y) posted an extremely inappropriate suggestion.

Both were petitioned.

We have no idea who these people were, what their agendas were, what affiliations they have in game. Maybe they were "pubbie mittans haterz" maybe they were goon false flags, maybe they were bored attention seekers. Doesn't matter, it was a dumb thing to do and both deserve to be punished by CCP. Just as anybody who attempt to bring ooc harrassment against an eve player deserves to be punished.

End of story.

I'm sure Mrs Mittani is thrilled her husband plays a video game so much she is getting **** threats on the "video game radio"

Some people need to not play video games. This guy who made this threat and the mittani are 2 of them.

I wouldn't take this as a sign as how low the commnity has decended. There have been many mature posts in every thread and many of the more level headed posters have stayed away from the entire issue. This is more of a result of the bandwagoning against the Mittani, that happened this week. For some it was just about the actual issue, but for others it was a priceless opportunity to strike at him. It created a mob mentality with agitators fanning the flames against him and getting people riled up as much as possible.

Taking that in to consideration it's not at all surprising, that some people lose their grip on what is allowed and cross the line in a situation like this. We as a community just need to be clear, that it isn't cool to cross that line and CCP needs to at least temp ban every ************ who doesn't get the hint, that it's not ok to threaten people with RL harm.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that countless people petitioned that and it's been dealt with. I doubt that the player in question will be playing EVE for a while.

But where is our street-wide CSM to say "lol that poster was joking lol"? Where is the screaming Goonswarn to tell me that he didn't even type what he clearly typed? Where oh where are the loudmouths who make it very clear at every point that they will deny and lie about even points posted on live youtube broadcasts to cast doubt on this much more murky situation?

I can't stand Al "The Martini" Gianturdo, and I believe him to be psychopathic and to have a broken soul, however, I would also say the same thing about anyone who threatened ****. Whoever said it should be arrested.

You have to understand, for years big Al has worked hard at becoming hated, and he made a conscious choice to put himself into the limelight. Therefore anything he says or does as far as this game is concerned is a valid target for criticism, mocking, and scorn. After all, he has done the same.

However, anything in the physical realm is off limits. I wish no bodily harm on the man, or anyone around him.
