Advice for an Amarrian?

So this is an alt I made a few months ago. Dropped some implants in him and set him off training. Chosen race is purely for looks. I'm leaning towards amarr for this char as I don't have a character capable of las0rs and tos is after all, a spaceship game.

So an overview,
This character has all the basics trained up.

Core capasitor elite
Remote armor repair
Shield emissions
Energy emissions
Shield operation
Shield management
Mechanics
Hull upgrades
Repair systems
Electronics
Electronics upgrades

All of the above are at 5

Armor resists are at 3 out of laziness.
Is character has NO gunnery or spaceship command skills apart from the basics I inherited from my pod juice.

Question is, what the **** should I do with this character. Any suggestions other than the obvious? (guardian)
What ships are on the amarr side?

Edit: posted on iPad, fixed the usual autocorrect fuckups

Amarr have so many great ships. It depends on what you want to do.

FYI: http://eveboard.com/ is preferred for sharing skills. For Example.

On my iPad in Iceland ATM, don't have access to my computer ATM. Too lazy to do that on my iPad lol

As for what I want to do with this character,I don't really care. I have 3 other characters that do various things. I just wanted an amarr character, you know, sexy golden sheathed ships and all.

Well, if you want lasers, you're going to need some gunnery skills. All the support skills to 5 are well worth it, especially Controlled Bursts for you. Go and look at some cool laser ships - Zealot, Omen Navy....and if you're willing to fly pimp, consider ashimmu or phantasm. Also, I hear legion is pretty cool.

(I liek cruisers)

Not Flyinghotpocket's alt. At all.

Faction Warfare is like Fight Club. But with spaceships.

Punisher (with autoCannons and neut), pure fun
Curse + Pilgrim, because both are nasty
Guardian, who doesn't love 'em
Zealot, great HAC
Oracle, great BC
Damnation, super amazing CS
Nightmare, tachyons!
Bhaalgorn, they suck (capacitor)
Archon, best in class
Revelation, best in class

Pure amarrian? To be honest I haven't flown many, as I just finished training T2 med lasers. Omen Navy is good, its basically a cheap zealot (but with armor tank :3) that fires really fast. Malediction is also fun (armor resist bonus AND scram range? <3 <3), but it uses rockets. 'binger is good for uber laser dps, and proph (also maller) is good for uber armor-tank. Also, Arbitrator is good because you can fit it so many different ways.

Curse and pilgrim are also mean, but I have little experience in either.

I haven't flown the battleships, but I really like blasters so I keep flying megas and hypes....

Um, so to get to the point.....

The Amarr ship I've had the most fun flying is hands down the Nomen (close second malediction). I have had more fun flying the Phantasm, but thats also caldari skills.

For looks, the Arbitrator (and its T2 variants) look awesome, as well as the legion.

If I had to recommend an Amarr ship for you to fly, I don't know if I could at this point. I hope this gives you some idea of what to look at.

EDIT - Archon is 2nd best looking carrier, behind the Chimera. Though since the Chimera sucks, I don't want to fly it.

Not Flyinghotpocket's alt. At all.

Faction Warfare is like Fight Club. But with spaceships.

You'll need some navigation skills as Amarr ships are little more than flying bricks.
In terms of style, you've got a couple of options:

1. Short range missiles with even more than the Amarrs are used to. You also don't have to worry about cap use or tracking. Disadvantage is the lack of Tech1 ships and no ship bigger than a damnation. Ships in this category are: Purifier, Malediction, Vengeance, Sacrilege, Legion and Damnation.

2. Drones ships with tracking disruptors and neut/nossing in the Tech2 versions. Extremely capable in 1vs1 vs anything that needs cap. You wont be fitting lasers and you'll be primary/avoided 90% of the time. Ships to fly are Sentinel, Pilgrim, Curse, Legion, Arbitrator and Cruor, Ashimmu and Bhaalgorn.

3. Laser shooting ships. Looks very scyfy but sucks more cap than a neutralizer does. There are also no good 'beginner' pvp ships in this category. Weapons of choice: Crusader, Coercer, Retribution, Navy Slicer, Navy Omen, Harbinger, Oracle, Armageddon, Apocalypse, Abaddon, Zealot and Legion. For the latter ships you'll need drone skills aswell.

I'ld say that if you want lasers, you should hop in either a Harbinger or a Retribution/Slicer/Crusader depending on taste. The Harbinger especially is one of the most versatile laser ships in the game.

Most fun I had in ages was Sacrilage. M8 flew passive tanked I used 2x MAR one.. awesome ship and everyone engages me right away. But it is close range ships so when you commit to target its do or die like galente. Requires quite a lot of practice and skill.

Good ships I like to fly are Arbitrator and pilgrim, Harby, Absolution, geddon (normal or navy), vengeance, purifier.
Those ships I've flew alone or in small gang and I loved them.

In your case I would go Arby->Harby->Oracle->Geddon. Method here is to be little faster and stay on ur range.. for example I fit harby with heavy pulse and some tr enhancers to get 30km range + tr destruptor and EC-600. Quite nice setup and with 60k EHP lives long enough.

Arby/pilgrim is more of screwing with your target using drone/ewar and you should bring m8s with you with some dps.

For close range (which I consider is webbing range) you should go with galente.
Amarrr with scorch ammo is best dps ship for mid range combat and can apply damage right away usually outperforming theoretically higher dps galente blasters boats in small gang/fleet fight scenarios.

My hands down fave is the Armageddon. It's a great DPS platform with better than average tank as well.

I have had great results with my Zealots. They hurt to lose them, and should be in better organized fleets.

Recently, I like the Navy Slicer as well for grinding through lvl 1 missions. (Fixing my standings)

Prophecy is fun and cheap. Good for suicide roams or any situation where you just want to shoot stuff, win or lose.
