What 2 ships Together Can Pull a Whole Level 4 Room

1 Tengu not fit cookie cutter fit will tank entire rooms.. the second ship can have less tank and more gank... I don't read mission guides, warp squad to mission, my second account is a NM. Tengu gets there first.. draw room aggro and orbit NM, don't need to though as speed is not my tank. Tengu is 6 launcher fit with a large faction SB and is cap stable. Tengu's EVE HQ omni tank is just over 900DPS. Need to keep an eye out for neuting BS in Blood missions, but NM deals with them swiftly and has a large power and shield transfer just in case.. haven't got to use them yet. If not in Amarr I use tengu and Maelstrom combo.

If you want something cheaper and easier on SP.. Navy scorp works great. Rattlesnake is too slow in my opinion. Otherwise drakes will do.. but slowly

I'd like to disprove this. In Amarr space I use the rattlesnake to great effect. While its shielding is not "optimal" Its near 90% resists laugh at NPC damage. Combined this with its dps at up to 49km with Amarr sentries which are actually decent, combined with cruise missiles for 49km rats allow it to melt things. As a partner, a Paladin makes a brilliant addition. It allows you to suck up all the loot for the missions while focusing its Tachyons on anything that needs breaking quickly, combine this with its drones on frigates and you have two ships that demolish missions very very quickly. The blockade? Welcome to an isk Vacuum.

T2 guns and drones are obviously required, but you'll make the isk on a non deadspace fit back within roughly 1 week casually playing. And I mean enjoying your weekend too.

Edit: I believed "combined" is now my political slogan for CSM 8

I have gone through a number of builds, using single ships, for level 4 missions. I usually have to use eve survival, to do things the right way. I'm wondering what 2 ships could you bring into a level 4, in order pull the entire room (hardest mission lets say) and still get things done in an effective manner?

Ahh my Tengu can pull any full lvl 4 room. You don't need two ships.

Pretty much this. A relatively cheap Tengu with 2 B-type Gistii small shield boosters can tank any L4,
with spare midslots for EWAR. This includes AE Bonus Room, and all sides of Worlds Collide.
Slap a shield boost amplifier on it if you're having tank issues.

It does take a little thought though. Keep your transversal up, and focus any webbers/scrambling frigs/towers ASAP.
10mn Afterburner + Orbit at 10k is your friend.

As you may have noticed, just about any two L4 mission fit ships wil do. Since they can all pretty much solo L4s, two in tandum will definitly get the job done. Generally, if a friend brings something that shoots Cruises, I'll bring something that shoots heavies and vise versa. You just want to plug any weaknesses. So if you have a great tanking ship like a Rattler, Scorp, or Tengu, the second should be a ganking ship. If the first ship does better against tiny targets, the second should do best against BS. If one is short-range, have the other be long range.

1.) Buy a Machariel.
2.) Fit a 100MN Afterburner.
3.) ???
4.) Profit.

My Tengu can run any lvl 4 solo as well and I sit still and tank it all no problem. I was doing so in a Drake but found the dps of the Tengu was far better. The negative is the big isk outlay to get a decent setup in the first place. If isk is the problem, I really recommend a Drake if you just want to sit there and shoot. But there are lots of good ships that can accomplish this, it is a combination of ship, skills and tanking correctly.

My Mach has nearly died a few times due to my sloppiness. So you have to be careful too.

I may not like you or your point of view but you have a right to voice it.

I like to use SNI and Tengu on the tougher ones...

Baby Vargur fit Maelstrom with 14 charges can tank any room except maybe AE bonus and including the full WC room you get in Gallente space (the hardest I found so far).
You need to know WTF you are doing though.

I've used a dual AR hype to draw all the aggro of rooms plenty of times.

Only in a few rooms on certain missions I'll be using the second rep pulsing
and very rarely multiple cycles.

There are moments when the tank will drop regardless of it being repped.
But thats always a short while. Numbers will be thinned out long before
I go into structure.

You do need some idea of what you doing to pull it off sometimes tho.

The biggest obstacle you'll encounter doing anything is yourself.

Basically, every dual BS - setup can clear every level 4 just fine. (there are plenty of ships which can do all of them solo)
Don't try to tank a whole mission though. And beware of Enemies Abound 5/5. 3k dps possible.

A Tengu and any other ship you like (Rattlesnake or Dominix is great for an alt).

Any T1 BS and a Logi to fit it (Armor-Logi for Gallente and Amarr BS, as well as Typhoon and Tempest, Shield-Logi for Maelstrom and Caldari BS). It works out well enough for me.

Have a passive fit Rattlesnake enter the room and shoot the groups to gain agro of the room and then have a Machariel enter and destroy everything. The Rattlesnakes shields can withstand level 5 missions easily enough, when you combine that kind of defense with the Machariels offensive skills it makes things fast and safe.

Sidenote: Smash the Supplier is the one mission that tests the Snakes shield so if you do this mission stay aligned and stay moving, take out friggies first to avoid ewar.
