This is all much ado about nothing.

But it is indicative that Goons and that majority of nullsec don't understand highsec at all.

OP,

I hope the concept of warfare is clear to all.

Anyone can shoot back.

Buck up and take up arms, counter it, but for the love of God, dont cry over it.

well in a way i agree, having one alliance pretty much control the whole game, is not right fundamentally. Thats when there is something seriously wrong with the game. Personally i am more than happy to go play another game if this continues.

Indeed...

Highsec isn't "Safe".  Neither is it a playground for bullies and bottomfeeders. So stop complaining and start playing the game already.

I hope CCP let Jita burn as EVE is a sandbox and not a themepark. Why are you even playing EVE, the game of backstabbing and gangrapes, if you want CCP to protect you? Should CCP also protect against large-scale scams? Who draws the line?

If something I would quit EVE if they started interfering with the game.

CCP should make Jita a passive environment. they are bright enough to write this in the story for our role players.

If the Biggest trade hub in game is a non violent system, CCP could also remove their focus to have as many as possible players in 1 system.

Lets make Jita a 1.1 system(all guns and drones are jammed) and let the Goonshoarma fight in Perimeter.

Jita gankers can gank everywhere so maybe they loose 5-10 subsribers?

You do realize trade hubs are entirely player created, right? Any system can be a trade hub. CCP didn't pick Jita, we did. Jita is not special.

Welcome to the sandbox. Sometimes you have to share it.

no sorry, i am a complete analphabetic ******.....

Of course I know, but players can influence a game that much that it could impact the game play too much by overloading a system, exploiting, botting, etc etc..

The game masters do have to regulate the game so that there it is still playable and attractive to many players. no one wants to play a massive multiplayer game with only 2 players.

In my message i said: "If the Biggest trade hub in game is a non violent system" I didn't talk about Jita. However adjustments need to be for ever and have to fit into a story, else it would make no sense at all.

Jita wont technically run with about 13000 players in it, so eve will crash and CCP will have 13000 unhappy customers. This has nothing to do with "Entirely player created" People who say that are just stupid. Eve (including Jita) is created and maintained by CCP (technically and financially ) they could turn of JIta or any other system with a finger snip. Eve is not Real, it is a game with technical and financial limitations.

To convince you that i do understand that the "Trade Hub" jita has been created I would not like to see Jita getting a passive system, i would like to see "the biggest trade hub" ingame passive to make the game technically work correctly without putting to much time and research into EvE to arrange a single system able to fit more than 5000 players.

The nullsec assault on Jita is player driven game content. That makes it awesome. It would still be awesome if it wasn't the GOON's doing it. The OP's complaint does hint at another problem however that does sit with CCP.

The hybrid and destroyer buff as well as the introduction of the tier 3 battlecruisers has created a failry lopsided and cheap gank mechanic. Too cheap. The fact that (let me put on my roleplayer hat) the manufacturers of Industrial and Freight ships would not respond with reinforced hulls, higher EHP, perhaps even ship remodeling is ridiculous.

Jita should burn but CCP should stop designing a game where real world arms race mechanics don't seem to exist.

That having been said:

Hisec alliances get in there and fight. Hire mercs. Wardec the Goons. Protect what is yours and drive the swarm back into the darkness of lawless space. Especially before the stupid new wardec mechanics kick in and it becomes too expensive to wardec such a massive alliance.

Bottom line hisec alliances, corps, players it is your job to warn your people of the coming danger. Just as we operate intel channels in nullsec warning our friends of danger, get up and let the new players know, post it, drop warning containers on the paths into Jita. Be active.

Play the game.

There is one pretty simple method people could use to avoid suicide ganks,
and something people probably could use to to great effect to make allot of goonies cry when they start trying to burn jita.

But I am not sure i should tell, as I kind of like things going boom.
And also I think there is allot of people here that needs to learn how to think for themselves.

So, basically, you want nanny CCP to step in and make sure you're wearing your footie pajamas. You want CCP to go directly against the reason Eve is unique by creating happy fun space where you can hide from the big bad meanyheads. Simultaneously, you advocate CCP not creating a system that can support heavy loads, and not doing the research they deem necessary to the game's development. You also seem to think that one system being overloaded will destroy the entire game, even though CCP has specifically state that is not the case, ESPECIALLY when they have advanced warning, which they clearly do.

Will it make new players quit? Or just those with no interest in anything outside their highsec fantasy land?

I think as a new player I would be fascinated and become interested in 0.0 politics and EVE as a whole.

tl:dr

Was wondering with soon(TM) the goons shutting down Jita. Won't that be good thing for traders and industrialists? Looking for other hubs and prices will rise.

Supposedly the 28th or so of April. May I suggest you pay attention to the forums and get a clone in Jita. Start to mess around with salvaging, understanding docking mechanics, aggression mechanics and so on. Learn the environment. Have fun.

That's why I joined. The Pendulum wars between BoB and the Goons sparked my imagination. It was real people fighting for real things. It wasn't a knight with a glowing sword farming a raid boss every weekend to get his new boots. It was a dynamic world of politics, intrigue, war, and betrayal. When you tell people about Eve, you don't play up MINING. You don't try to sell them on running 'Rogue Drone Harassment' 400 times. You talk about the wars, you talk about the betrayals, you talk about the pirates, and you talk about the griefing. You tell stories that you dont FIND in other MMOs.

**** like this? This is what Eve IS.

Because you allow anyone and mainly big alliances to just gank anyone and everyone in highsec.
I will put bets on that many newer players will just stop playing and probably unsub.

Are you really going to allow this to happen?

Can you not see that goonswarm really is trying to ruin eve and not as darius johnson stated trying to ruin a players game. Cos ruining a players game, makes them wanna quite, hence ruining eve as a game and product...

I mean they have grown so big that they now pretty much can control eve in anyway they want... First Ice Miners, plus other stuff and now this...

not sure i want to play a game where one alliance can control a whole game, when they want and how they want with pretty much no consequence. They lose 100 hurricanes, so what..their trillions in the stupid amount of moon good they get just keeps the constant churn going.. They could do this everyday for a year and have no problem doing it...crazy aint it...

I dwell in high-sec like it's a religion and I mine to my heart's content, but even I have to disagree with you. Eve Online is the only MMO in the industry where the fate of everything is player driven even if the the player-driven aspect of it includes high-sec suicide ganks. In fact, that is what I love about Eve Online. In other MMOs, everything is handed to you in a silver platter. In Eve, you are left to fend for yourself. That is the law of the wild.

When I undock to mine, I risk getting ganked. But I prepare for it.

When I undock to haul, I risk getting ganked. But I prepare for it.

When I see internet spaceships being destroyed, I learn to profit from that.

When I hear about the new techniques gankers use, I learn to adapt to it. Sometimes I even come up with own strategies.

My point it, I love Eve Online because only the strong survive.
