While I didn't vote for the mittens I can see why a election should take place. CCP effectively tossed out over 10k in votes, Which means those ppl who voted for mittens have no voice with the CSM. It wouldn't take much effort to run the election over and it wouldn't cost CCP anything. The fallout from this is still rippling across the water and will take time to settle. But I believe that if elections aren't done over it could hamper the efforts of CSM 7 and future CSMs to come.

Mittens chose to act like a complete c**t. And no, in the world of actual adults, being off your **** is no excuse.

Now he and those who backed him must deal with the consequences.

Quite properly EVE-like, don't you think?

E: Because it would seem that EVE Is Real(TM) in many more ways than we might have thought. [/cynicism]

To all the bad posters bumping my thread: Thank you.

I knew obviously that D3 (rabid goon hater) and Isler (first on the emo kneejerk bandwagon) wouldn't step down in support of having a new CSM election to allow the 10000 to revote.

My plea is to those CSM members who have more than two brain cells to rub together. Particularly Seleene, Two Step and Vile Rat. What are your responses?

Bump!

Hey best step back from Issler! He is the best CSM rep out there. Principles above all!

Actually, "he" is a "she," but:

How does their figurehead being a complete arse and paying a heavy price for same give "the 10,000" entitlement to special treatment?

Sorry, bru, you'll just have to wait till next year to corrupt/rig that election in due course.

'Till then, back under your bridges you go!

lol im a nobody and I hate mittens because he's spacefamous.

Used to think you were an alright guy, now I realize you're a bad and bitter goonswarm hater. Show me on the doll where the big meanie weenie goonie touched you, jadey-poo.

CSM without a democratically mandated chairman is doomed to the irrelevancy and ::lolfreeicelandtix:: of CSM 2-5. As a former member of the CSM, I'd think you would care enough to do something to correct that, Jade. Nah, much easier to crucify mittens out of hatred.

Thing is I think he was a pretty terrible influence on CSM6 and his "reforms" have made the CSM project less transparent, less accountable and more inclined to a "block votes win a free holiday to iceland" direction than actually representing a diverse range of player interests. Add in the embarrass CCP and the eve player base in the eyes of the gaming world by getting drunk and calling on people to harrassed into suicide thing - and you have a disaster of a csm chair who is best forgotten.

That's your opinion and all, but a large majority of players think otherwise. Less transparency? Now I know you're just trolling. Specially that bit about the 'gaming world.' Those terrible websites written by hacks that call themselves journalists are worse than modern day tabloids by far.

No, clearly the only things that need to be forgotten are you (were you ever important?) and this ruination of what the CSM was supposed to represent.

But please, continue hamming up what the Mittani said/did to further your agenda of :goonswarmarentpeople: you space-racist hypocritical wad of bad poasting.

The Majority of EvE just don't care, that's why voter turn out is so low.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Well, don't give up there! The CSM could disband itself to let CCP know that they think this was a terrible idea. Or they could request a revote for all. Or just a revote for the ~10058~. Mittens can keep his 30 day ban and rejoin the council afterwards. Or keep him off the council entirely and just let the voters pick someone else. Otherwise they are no longer represented and (in more than just my case, as evidenced by the tons of threads) disillusioned with the whole idea of a CSM.

I support this service / product.

This CSM is innefective and totally non representative of the playerbase.

New ellections should be called.

And each candidate should have a appointed replacement of the same "party".

hurr duurrrr circular logic + troll = AWESOME deerrrrrp

Still no CSM joint response or a CCP response to the calls for a revote for 10000 disenfranchised voters. Glad to see that the CSM concept is more relevant and important than ever.

Oh you mean that post in the thread about the devblog? Yeah well I think it was a bad call and I'm not the only one who thinks that. Stop trying to silence the 10000 and get skilled with fire.

No one but the people who wasted their votes by not thinking silenced their own votes. If you don't take things like the possibility of the X-Chairman being thrown out for acting like a fool, into account the first time you don't deserve to have another chance to waste your precious vote.
