I think I can actually help you with that. If I'm not misunderstanding the issue, you can change the tag color, tag icon and background color of these characters. Open the overview settings, and I think the tab is called "appearance", and there you can change the colors/tags if you right click the entries. I hope that help, otherwise I have no idea what you are talking about P

Yes, that worked. I thought those only impacted the overview, not the chat channels. Good to know. Thank you.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how would highlighting a given player's market orders for that player alone increase botting activity? The only thing this change would do is make it easier for a player (who doesn't have the ability to compare data like a machine) to spot their own orders in a large group without having to make visual comparisons between the wallet and market.

Most bots in eve work on recognizing colors in given xy point on the screen - Macro clikers. Making new separate color for own market orders will make it easier for macro bots to recognize them on the screen. They did that without colors, so they will do it after adding it.
But still this doesnt change my opinion that this will be good move for us - nonbot marketers.

Which means no relative delta.

That is: if it's already being done with the current system, making it "easier" won't change anything, because it's still just macro code. Human brains don't work in macro code = P We like obvious visual signals.

This has now ticked me off three times in a row and is thus worthy of asking about.

When you're looking at stuff on the market and pick out something to buy, the little window pops up with relevant information and which actually does the transacting.

When it first opens, the "Total:" line has a dash on it, which for some reason takes up the whole horizontal and forces the "View Market Details" magnifying glass down, auto-resizing the window, which has the effect of forcing the "Buy" button down. And then the total field loads an actual value which DOESN'T take up the whole horizontal, so everything shifts up. So that when I go to click where buy *was*, it isn't there anymore, so instead I click the market window in the background and have to close or minimize it (or tab through open windows) to get back to the actual transaction window.

Could the window default dimensions maybe be changed so this vertical resizing does not occur, or the field size be fixed so it doesn't force the VMD button out of the way and thus make the window taller in the first place?

Another thing:

I seem to remember back in the old days an Aggro timer being in the top left of the screen (much like the session change timer is now) which would show you how long you had to wait to dock or jump after performing some sort of hostile action. I can't, for the life of me, find an option in the escape menu to get it back, and it's really annoying to not know this figure without keeping meticulous track of the time outside of the game.

So... either could someone point out to me where to turn on such a feature, or could something be devised that works like the current session change timer (IE a little circle, perhaps in red, counting down the time to interface with a station or gate)?

I don't know nothing about agression timer, but the session change timer can be switched on in general options (show session change timer). But most times was shortened, so sometimes i don't even notice it ^^

CCP UI ladies please show me on the market page what my buy and sell orders are. Some icon or something.

Also, please let me edit from the market page. I have a character with the ability to have over 200 outstanding orders, in 6 regions, and it really sucks for trying to use the MY ORDERS page to sort or figure them out. Much easier for me to hit bookmarked items in my quickbar, but then I can't tell which price was mine, and I have to search that order on the MY ORDERS page to edit it (where I can't see the market prices).

We MUST be able to see relative regional market prices when we do a price edit.

And again, we must be able to see if we have outstanding buy or sell orders in the current region from the item page in the market view.

The current system is very clumsy.

Thanks for listening.

I did not chnage the route myself, but I thought the yellow and red aggro text was still there.

I can go shoot myself and SS it, but I'm pretty sure there's no red and yellow aggro timer texty bits.

Yay, probably too late for my suggestion to matter. But,

In the star map sovereignty tab, everything is a huge mess. There is no order at all when trying to use tiles to figure out what is going on in game, I have to go out of game and use a 3rd party tool.

Basically, please allow the user to order the filter by tile color or name(alphabetical) Have a display name on tile check box so when I'm zoomed in, i can readily tell who has sovereignty there.

And of course, to not forget our color blind or impaired players, have an option for patterns instead of colors.

In the market I've noticed some orders will be yellow. Yellow is good, but it might be invisible to some people, so a different emphasis such as using bold along with the yellow is better. Other accessibility options might be a mini-zoom. Such as when being attacked by a red flashy, instead of flashy background, give an option to alternate bold/plain or bold/italics

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

If you want to make this sexy (and everyone hate me) -

Don't even force us to Right Click > Edit Price to change our price. Just let us drag and drop and .01 under the market order we move it under.

So if an item is being sold for on the market :

10 ISK
11 ISK
12 ISK
13 ISK (My Order)

And I drag my 13 ISK order under the 10 ISK order, it sets it to 9.99 ISK. (Without requiring any further actions.)

Pirate

Some people might consider this a total change to market gameplay. It might also make it easier for botting. I'm sure it's a radical game design decision - but it does save on Carpal tunnel! Lol

I don't think he means the Aggression Flag, I think he means the aggression TIMER (yes, that other thing) that stops you from docking/jumping for 1 minute after shooting someone in the face. I don't ever remember there being a timer for that in all my years playing. The only way to reliably know was to hover over the aggression flag (yellow/red) and wait for it to hit 14 minutes since you're last shot fired.

This could be a bit more noticeable, I agree - because unless you have a stop watch handy, it's pretty impossible to know.

Yes, that. Not the GCC timer that I know you get when you shoot someone in the face that you're not allowed to. Which, of course, is why I don't get any red or yellow text for shooting my alt. But I still can't dock up for a minute afterward, and I'd like to know how much of that minute is left without running a timer out-of-game.

From 1 person point it would be nice, but as you will look at as global point it is horrible idea!
shift+click would be huge help, but such thing would make everyone drag & drag & drag. This would make market more aggressive, but also will lead to much more market requests, and that for sure will have impact on server performance.

==================================================================

But there is 1 more thing that would help us much more then everything!
When we open the fix price window whole price should be selected!
This way we can use scroll to give the price +/- 0.01, but also we will be able to put new price from the beginning (writing will automatically clear old price).

Most of our actions is +/- few 0.01 ISK (depend on order type) or write all price from the beginning.
Now to perform both actions we must click the field to focus it or select whole price in that field.

So plz simply focus & select what is there -> this will make our live much easier. Easy thing that would be more than helpful :)

But please, please please address my issues. Hundreds of billions of traders in this game will love you long time if you can fix this stuff.

It is painful trying to manage orders with the way the split tabs are right now.

Exploration:

Please make a reset option for the probes. Because of the clutter, and because the little color highlighting isn't always obvious at certian zoom settings, I'm always clicking on the wrong part of the probe, and draging it off to neverland. And getting it back in position is a major pain. For example, I try to select the flat side of the cube, but select the arrow towards me without meaning to. So the probe shoots off and getting it to line back up is almost impossible. If I could select it and then click reset, then it would go back to wherever it was before I move it.

The green line that connects all the probes, so I can tell the exact center, should always show, not mysteriously disappear without any known cause.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Such thing is already ingame. U have green lines that are connecting centers of probes and the cross of them show exact centered point between them.

Also I don't understand your problem. Im exploring quite much and I don't remember situation that my probe went "somewhere".
And why the hell you use cube for probe navigation?!
90% of actions on probes is to hold inner arrow and move probe closer to the center.
Rest is moving ALL probes at once UP or DOWN, so again 1 arrow needed.
Cubic pointer make it only harder, because it hard to recognize where you move it.

Also, after I red your post, I'm pretty sure you don't use SHIFT while scanning, because it would prevent you from "loosing" your probe in space. Hold down SHIFT while moving 1 probe will lead to move all at once.

Kisses, like always :*

Rather than a button for "Show market details" why not make the item name clickable/right clickable like the usual "auto link" functionality? Fewer buttons = cleaner interface :)

Yes, but obvious buttons tend to be rated higher on the "Ease of use" scale than right-click menus.

While it's pretty safe to assume that no EVE player is a computer-illiterate troglodyte, not everyone is accustomed to diving into click menus for their most basic needs.
