Benefits of factional warfare

Having picked up EVE again after a couple years break, I find my self wondering about factional warfare. I've read the eve wiki pages on it, and while I understand the mechanics, it dosen't seem to explain the benefits. I gather you get LP for doing the missions, but does occupancy give benefits to the occupying faction? Are there any other benfits from entering factinal warfare?

No. That's what the next (big) expansion is for.

You can find out if you play the game better then other players.

factional warfare presentation from FanFest just gone. It starts with an overview of what is right now, and moves onto what is coming this summer and stuff...

Curiosity killed the Kata... ... but being immortal he wasn't too worried about keeping a count.

  • Stupid amounts of LP from L4 missions that are blitzable in just a bomber. Think something like 80-100 mil ISK/hr income.
  • Lots of people to shoot.
  • Eventually, wonderful standings with the faction you work with.


Space occupation doesn't matter right now, and neither does your side (you can still dock everywhere and use services).

That's about it. Inferno going to be adding new stuff.
