Vista Launcher Lock up & Client crashes

A friend of mine just downloaded the game to try it & is currently unable to play.

His machine meets the minimum requirements (at least) and he's running it on Vista 32-bit, which I believe in the problem.

He's bypassing the launcher as it would simply close itself. When loading the client it will freeze up and turn black, looping the audio. He tried running the repair tool and is receiving the same results. If anyone has a fix or ideas please post ASAP.

Update: After updating his DivX he was able to input his log in information and try to play, but it froze and looped the audio for about a minute before crashing.
