Fallowing a rather epic fan-fest the forums were beset with a massive wave of anti-Mittani Forums and as may of you know why. fallowing a public and privet apology and subsequent ban for 30 days pro-goon-swarm players have declared war on Jita and those who live in high security space.(summery for those who are just getting the news.

It has been less than a week and already the call to arms has wrung out across the new Eden universe. Propagandists from both sides have kicked the mudslinging into overdrive, and those who want nothing to do with political war are already thinking of taking an April 28th holiday

With this in mind those who would clam eve is going out on its last leg are about to find she still plenty of bite(and player driven content) left in her. You just have to now how to kick her in order to get the hornets riled up

I have only been apart of eve for slightly over two months. I heard about Eve when it came out in 2003 yet never really got into thinking about joining until i saw that a fantastic looking FPS called Dust514 was coming out and would be connected to Eve. I new nothing about eve other than in was a long running MMO about internet spaceships and figured I needed to do my homework and learn more about it.

Trolling though Eve you tube videos I came across a video by The Mittani titled The Art of War in Eve online. I found it amazing that someone would even spend the time to Try and perfect the art of internet warfare. obviously Eve was a different breed of internet game than what i was used to. so i joined

And what does my little rant about myself have to do with the expected war between Goonswarm and Cairbears? It shows that no matter when you join Eve you can expect things great player driven events from this game that you would not find in any other. Sure their may be a dry spell hear and there but just wait and something will happen. The players run this game and they run it with war, tears, tactics, propaganda, risk taking, and backstabbing.

EVE faces an event few other games would ever experience and yet real players of the game look foreword to it. Good or bad the Gears of war that run eve continue to turn. And this Planed war witch may star the 28th of April(probably sooner) is living proof.

So bring on the war Goonswarm those players in high sec who love this game as well will still be hear when the dust settles. For true eve players know that the Gears of EVEWar Grind On and hopefully they will forever. With and without me, you, and botsBear

Those who wish to end War wish to end what it means to be human. Those who advocate War do not know its power. Yet Those who learn from War will be remembered for all time.

Goons can't really hurt Carebears, and Carebears can't hurt goons.

Some of us don't find it all that interesting, because at its heart its just a bunch of romanticized hoopla.

so carebear (cairbear) is a specific playergroup in your oppinion? unfortunately it's not working this way and that's why the whole jita on fire project is condemned to fail. (and is downright ridiculous)

Not really, no. People get all up in arms about nothing, because they fly off the handle and let their emotions get the best of them. Alex, gave all of the people that he had been pissing on everything that they needed to kick him off of the CSM at the onset of his second year. They jumped on it, what do you expect?

CCP then does what any corporation in the public eye would do in a similar position, they cater to the masses. ****** is a bad word now, and so is Cyber bulling of any kind. It is popular politics.

The only moderately interesting part is a heart felt apology followed by twitter rage. Does this mean that the apology was not so heart felt after all? Well, that really should not be a surprise either because such is politics. It is very predictable.

Ultimately, Goonswarm can do nothing to move Jita from where it is, nor can they hurt carebears in any meaningful way. Nor can Carebears hurt them. The reality of the game is just not designed to allow that to happen. Everything is falling under rather predictable outcomes, and that is why people such as myself get bored with EVE. It is not really as complex as it looks when you first get started. You will learn this eventually and go on a "break from EVE" like everyone else does, regardless of what you're thinking right now. Trust me Lol

According to some posts i have read carebear appears to refer to anyone who lives (safely) in hi sec space. it is note my opinion or an actual group as fair a s i know simply a misleading term regularly used as a description.

Don't really care whether or not this actually happens or if jita is moved or not. it is the potential that it may be attempted than it accentual working that has me interested. as for my "break from Eve" that's my upcoming summer job where i work 6 days a week 12 hours a day doesn't leave a lot of time to play games.(collage classes need payingRoll)

It's gonna break my heart if the CFC roll through any of the Caldari level 3 mission hubs and no drake fleets form up to resist them.

What a sad day that will be. Sad

Well that is great and all Yoma Karima, but I've already seen 100's of goon Carcals gank the Jita undock. The Concord response was epic, and it was forgotten a few hours afterward.

For all you know Raiden. will have evicted goonswarm before the Jita deadline. Now that would be kind of interesting Big smile
