Or is there a better place for Jita to be replaced? Where ever it is it'll need its own dedicated server like Jita has.
It'll be interesting to see what happens in Jita on the 28th when Time Dilation kicks in too

Why is everyone assuming a Main Hub will be reborn ? Jita was a fluke that needs to go. Giant Wal-Marts are bad for business all around, in or out of EVE.

ISk/Hour is WASTED getting there, for starters.

Also, you will 'no likey' Time Dilation. Feels like operating and flying in molasses.

Just the presence of TiDi in Jita will slow down trades inside & the surrounding systems? Since Jita has it'sown dedicated server the jump in with a couple thousand ships Occupying Jita will get hit right off the bat I imagine.

The molasses will be felt in station too?

If you are trying to undock.....seems to TAKE FOREVER. I almost logged.

I highly doubt that it has anything to do with data communications and speed on the Market though. Someone may know differently. (?)

I really wish that Klingon hadn't quoted Shakespeare in that movie. Now so many people say this without knowing where it comes from. Roll

lol in a vacuum the facts tend to be the first things distorted... by the time this storey matures I'm sure it'll not look like anything any1 expected

I dont think people really have fully realized the impact goons locking down jita will have, and whose to say jita will be the only place effected. Large and highly established alliances such as goonswarm have absolutely no need for hi sec right now, which makes them a very big threat to all of you who actually do. Everything they need can be aquired with no isk for them, so yeh... if they truly unleash a full on lockdown and destruction of jita it will be felt across all reaches of hi sec space, and even benifit themselves in the process to reap the rewards of a weakened economy.

Yes...because Jita is the only place things are bought and sold.

I do a lot of trading on Jita and I'm looking forward to this event. I hope the Goons don't wuss out. Thanks for the heads up though. The warning gives me time to rearrange things to maximize profits in the event Jita is shut down. Market disruptions create price differentials, which create profits for traders. More importantly, it gives me time to fit some ships up to have fun with Goons interdicting Jita.

A Jita interdiction will be a good bit different from the ice interdiction because the Goons will all be in one place. Many of them will be flashy red, so I expect people will gate camp, station camp, and probe Goons down looking for kills. If this goes down I'll be joining in. It'll be fun.

I expect I'll at least be preparing the following:
Cheaply fitted 2x1600mm plated Mallers for bait/trolling/salvaging. ~40k EHP from a 10-12 mil fit (meta 2, no rigs) is pretty good. It would take 4 Tornados or about 20 Thrashers to suicide gank one in 0.9. I'll stick some small guns and cheap sebos on it so I'll have a chance at getting on a killmail or two if I survive a suicide gank attempt long enough.
Frigs for stealing loot. Probably use a Merlin with shield tank and warp stabs in the lows.
Frigs for popping flashy red pods.
Canes and Drakes for picking fights with flashy reds.
Probably an arty Mael and/or Tornado for sniping flashy red Goons.

The more I see locked threads & whines the more I hope to see Jita burn next month.
Escalation will start the 24th but will start to more fiercely burn Saturday the 28th after we've see who's really been wronged... the howels will be most high pitched even Banshee's will be coverin' thier ears!
I predict WAR & TiDi in HI SEC that hath not been seen before.
Sounds like bloody fun TwistedEvil

jita as an o1 class blue bright star already burns, so why the hassle? let the goons be goons, who cares? it won't change a thing.

It will last only a day or so. No matter how big Goons are, they do not have infinite supply of ISK to fuel their "destruction of Jita" campaign.

If you think they wont make any ISK off this, you're wrong. Freighters and haulers will be prime targets, with hauler alts waiting to scoop loot.

80 tornadoes.... More than likely you would need multiple accounts to use all of them. At done point, won't you go below -5 sec status, leading to concord attacking the moment you undock?

Also, since boomeranging is now deemed an exploit too, I really wonder how many tornadoes it takes to be unable to undivided in jita without being killed.

Honestly, ccp can also be a little heavy handed on their punishments when it comes to jita. Didn't the people who showed the issue of remote repping by using rr to beat concord in jita become banned? Isn't creating sufficient lag viewed as a punishable offense?

My guess, if goons pull through with this action, there may be a surprising number of people banned at least temporarily.

Ooooooooo..... Imagine the fun you could have in their pocket of nul if the vast majority of goons were banned for even a week. Drool.

I am regularly amazed at how clueless high-sec dwellers seem to be. Most of them seem to have never stepped outside a mission pocket.

I'm not an expert in null sec politics, but isn't this a lot like posting on your Facebook page- "Here's my address. I'll be out of town the last two weeks in April"?
