Pirate Idea for High Sec Griefers / Pirates / Gankers

Not sure if this has been suggested before or not. However, in case that it hasn't been, I am doing it now.

So, people are complaining about the stealth nerf to sec gain for high sec "pirates." I can understand that. If you want to compare it to reality (God forbid), then let's do that. To one nation, a pirate was a privateer. To their enemy nation, they were just that. How about we create an environment in Eve similar to that. Maybe compared to faction warfare... If you work for Gallente, then you can get snanction from them to pirate, grief, and gank in Caldari space while still being able to keep your sec status for living in Gallente space. You are, after all, a sanctioned Gallente privateer. Yet, you will be labeled an outlaw and pirate when venturing to Caldari space to grief, pirate, and gank your heart out.

Thoughts?

Too bad CCP is doing whatever they can to slowly nerf EVE into WoW.

In a few years you'll see people complain about CCP finally making PvP flags.

Bad idea is bad. All they have to do is increase the sec status gain from rats. That's it. No hard code changes, no gameplay changes, just boost sec status gain from the little doods you are forced to kill in low-sec/null.

So.... in essense you will be traveling like the outlaws? In shuttles or Ceptors to avoid the navy popping your nice battleship?

This stealth nerf is confirmed by devs as a bug and is being fixed.

I agree with your idea to some extent though. I always thought CCP should give all the player pirate the option to suck up to the NPC pirate factions so, with good faction standing, a player pirate could live from their stations in null. Well defended against the people that kill the pirates while in empire, in the same way the empires kick out agentwhores with -5 to them.

Sadly this is not how CCP envisioned it when the game went out of beta. It didn't take long for a region like Fountain to be dominated by players that farmed the Serpentis while at the same time squatting in a Serpentis station.

I ridiculous situation and a missed opportunity for more diversity. Sadly it's now too late to change anything about it anymore.
