I wonder if Mittens could claim harassment for all the threads started about him (not this one as it isn't another "blah blah ban Mirttani blah blah").


I personally feel CCP has the right to decide the way they did. Almost agree with their decision.

However the mob mentality of people is getting frustrating. Its getting to the point that I am more disgusted by the community reaction than what The Mittani did.

Yes I'm suffering from depression, I began conteplating suicide, so I got help. I did not however threaten to commit suicide to people who blew me up. I've lost billions in ships, cargo, etc. But never would I use the threat of suicide to try and get someone to not blow me up. Check my killboard, go ahead. It's wonderful. But I'm not of any delusion that this game has an affect on my actual life. And if getting ganked ever once made my depression worse, or caused me to contemplate killing myself, even for a second, I would no longer be playing this game.

CCP did what they saw fit. I support them in there ban and kicking him off the CSM

BUT

**** ALL YALL white knighters who pretend they care about people with sever depression. All you care about is trying to beat down on someone you think is a villain.

I have crippling depression spells where i can barely move and all I want to do is take my mind off of it and play some games.....THE LAST THING I WOULD DO IS FLAUNT IT IN GAME AND TRY TO USE IT TO MY ADVANTAGE. I want to forget about it for a few hours and have some fun.

I'm always up for a bit of gallows humour, I've often made fun of my own condition at times, that's just part of how my condition affects my sense of humour. Calling for others to potentially victimize someone because of their condition is a step over the line.

The Wiz used "wanting to die" and losing his Mackinaws interchangeably, in the same sentence.

I want to know what actions CCP are taking to protect him, since he is clearly too mentally imbalanced to see the difference between eve and real life. Or, you accept he was lying / trolling, in which case the OP makes a valid point.

I will also add that CCP approved the slide where Mittens was going to be mocking The Wiz. They can just sodding go away with their "he removed the name, so it was fiiiine" because the first thing I did when watching live, was find the guy to see what happened. I didn't even hear Mittens spell out the name (thanks for the crappy audio, CCP) but it is TRIVIALLY EASY TO FIND THE IN GAME NAME OF SOMEONE WHO IS PART OF A BATTLEREPORT WITH THE LOSS OF 23 MACKS.

It took me about 10 seconds and a trip to eve-search to achieve this.

CCP can't honestly have us believe that his name not being in the original slide turned this whole thing from being "OK, you can use that" to "BANNED! BANNED!" -- if mentioning the name was so important, was Mittens in any way briefed? Was he warned that the slide passed by the very narrowest of margins, and should the name get out there, he would be banned from the CSM and Eve?

The Wis did not threaten to commit suicide. Read the mail (that the Mittani displayed and mocked in front of thousands of people).

As to the rest, you really are unable to judge his precise frame of mind even now and your categorical statements about the way that all suicidal people behave do not bear a moment's scrutiny. The Mittani was certainly unable to make any vald clinical assessment when he made his comments.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think MR WIS should watch EVE future vision video, and listen to the words that the lady speaks.

Also from what I understand, CCP I guess they had to cover for an incident that took place, regardless of how small it is, the problem was the outcry of an individual and the explosion of media that took place, and the fact that this issue was just blown so far out of proportion by most of the community. the player in question is obviously doing fine, it was just an act. Mittani was not correct in his actions to pursue the issue "Outside of the boxing ring" as a GM stated.. but is there really a need to crucify him for it? Naaah.

I wonder how 90% of you would have treated this issue if you were the ones to receive that eve mail in the middle of a wardec or another situation or something.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, This is not a game you bring personal problems into, its a game your supposed to just enjoy and NOT attach yourself to it as if your life depends on it. You have a problem if being killed in this game causes you so much depression, stop playing, this is not second life.

Being blown up if it all, should throw you into a blood thirsty rage and begin planning your revenge to blow other people up screw them over etc.
