The Mittani and how all of you people disgust me.

The actions of the EVE community and CCP around this whole entire series of events disgusts me. For almost a year now I have been struggling with Severe Major Clinical Depression. I have stuggled with contemplations of suicide and self harm. And to see all of you whiteknighting an individual who used suicide as a means of manipulating people disgusts me. The Wis is not a person with depression, he was not a truly suicidal person, he used a threat of suicide to try to make the people ganking him leave him alone.

The mittani's crime in this? Mocking him for lying about comitting suicide to manipulate people. I support the mittani in this. The wis deserves to be mocked and harassed mercilessly for being such a complete ******* as to mock those who are truly suffering from depression and struggling with suicide by using the threat of suicide for social manipulation. And the fact that CCP and all of you are bashing the mittani and supporting this pathetic tool is disgusting. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

This man is 47 years old, if he was actually suffering from depression, and if this game even has the potential to add to that depression then he shouldn't ******* be playing it. Him even mentioning suicide to try and get people to not gank him is ******* disgusting and utterly pathetic. And so are all of you. You all disgust me.

I'm sorry. What you say is wrong. What Mitt did was use a public broadcast to advocate the commision of a felony, which in itself is a felony. What CCP did was provide him the unsupervised means to do this, which makes them culpable. This avalanche of posts, in which yours is also a snowflake, asserting it had to do with anything in-game only demonstrate a total lack of comprehension of the societies in which you live.

Could we not say the same thing about your rant just now? Using your own Depression as an argument to state that another player is falsely portraying themselves as depressed?

The way I see it, is Clinical Depression and Suicide are nothing to joke around about. Period. Whether you believe it to be true or not, it's never worth the risk. Mittani has been seen as crossing that line because he disregarded the risk. Some people will say silly things regarding suicide when they are in a state of decline or in a situation where they feel helpless. It doesn't mean they are and it doesn't me that they arn't.

The internet prevents you from knowing for sure. Altho you may know transcripts from the player. You may have even met him at fanfest or know where he lives. The internet is still anonymous and knowing 100% that an individual is mentally sound is a false statistic.

As I said before. It's never worth the risk when it comes to physical harm of an individual.

Someone who is actually suicidal does not go throwing that kind of **** out to make people feel sorry for them. A suicidal person deals with such things in private and then either seeks help or they become another statistic. They do not go crying to every person who does something mean to them and threaten to do it.

Let me put it to you this way, should arrests be made and a trial be held, neither the defense nor prosecution will be addressing anything that went on in the game. They would, however, be totally preoccupied by what went on at Fanfest, and on the microphone.

See a hole in the works... People are going to do what OP did, CCP is going to ban, but since CCP policy is no publication of said ban people are not going to see that CCP is serious about this. CCP may have to publish some ban stats for a while, or maybe weekly?
