What is it?

Bitter Sea Trading is a cross-platform (Android, iOS, Web) tool designed to make it easy for you to manage your account activity from anywhere. Whether you want to keep an eye on your market orders, setup an alert via text message for when something expires, or just want to keep an eye on your revenue stream.

Features

Alerting
Setup an alert to be sent to you via email, SMS, push or HTTP post for any possible trigger, such as when a buy order expires or the median price of an item in Jita drops below a set threshold.

Asset Management
Want to figure out the bigger picture and calculate your total net worth based on your assets? We let you do that.

Contracts Overview
Description pending.

Dashboard Widgets
Configure your dashboard the way you want it, we're hoping to bring in a number of third party services in this area as well.

Item Database
Retrieve information on a specific item, as well as retrieving order and price metrics using a combination of the static dump and Eve-Central API data.

Jump Planner
Fairly self-explanatory, plan your jumps.

Market Orders
Search, filter and sort your buy and sell orders. Keep an eye on what you're doing and if needed, hook it in our alerting system.

Reports
I'll be expanding on this section later, but the reporting view is what lets you calculate your net worth, your profit (via either FIFO or weighted average), create sexy graphs for damn near anything and create reports based on the data we hold for you.

Trade Discovery
Description pending.

Transaction Overview
Keep an eye on your transaction history, as well as keeping an eye on your total and daily revenue.

What does it cost?

Absolutely nothing. There is no ISK charge to use the service and there are no adverts. I generate absolutely zero revenue from the service and do not solicit donations either. You're more than welcome to send some ISK, but don't feel obligated.

How do I get it?

The web version is currently in public preview, the mobile version is currently in closed testing and will be available in the near future. If you want to get started, simply register an account at the below URL.

Just so you're aware, this is the live in-development version and will change close to every hour over the next week or so.

* Yes, the registration page needs to make it clear on what API access BST needs, and to have a link to a pre-defined key.

Screenshots

Most of these screenshots are of views that have greatly changed since they were taken, but they might help to give you a rough understanding of the overall system.

I've been watching your development thread and decided to register. Keep up the good work

Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

I have just now registered.

Give me a few days to test it, bang at it, (break it), and get back to you.

Haha, thanks. New features are being added today, including the reports and alerts features :).

Hmm registered quickly last night and only just gotten around to looking at it. Can't work out how to get it to pull API data in (it's just showing blank tables at the moment)

It should do this once you register. Did the API key you create have the necessary security settings, and did you correctly select whether it was a character or corporation key

Edit
I've taken a quick look at the logs and the API is returning the following error

105 - Invalid characterID.

Looking in to the reasons for this at the moment.

Have isolated the reason, people using non-corporation keys might experience broken functionality for the next 5 minutes or so whilst I implement a fix.

Edit
Fixed! Should now work fine.

Good!

The issue in question is that your API key was for all characters, not one - I failed to take this in to account and didn't store the correct character ID. This is now done :).

Okay, bug 1: Not reporting transactions from my api.

I do not use the "main" corporate wallet for market activity. I actually use wallet #3, titled "Market", for that. The other wallets are equally designated for specific purposes, few of which involve transactions. I believe your app is not pulling, or displaying, transaction data from all wallets. If it is pulling the data, I can not seem to figure out how to get it to display other wallets.

Signed up as well.
Will have a go at it, and will tell you what I think about it in a few days.

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

The alerting system continues to take form, though it's taking longer than originally expected. This screenshot also shows a known bug regarding total revenue calculation... doh!

Current bug: For some reason I surf to the site and "loading" never stops loading.

That usually happens when there is an issue connecting with Eve API (it continues to attempt). I'm working on a better failover process at the moment, but I'll investigate the logs to find out why it hates you.

Feature Release

Alerts are now live! Well, kind of. You can now create an alert to notify you via email or SMS when one or any of your market orders happens to expire. There's an activation process to receive notifications via SMS, we'd like to make sure you own the phone number in question.

A similar activation process will soon be present on registration for email addresses, which will be what email alerts are sent to. For now, you can enter what email to have them sent.

Other alert types (wallet threshold, new transaction, job finished, e.t.c) will be coming at some point this evening.

Alert triggers are checked every 30 minutes (and alerts sent at this time).
