Hey all,

I've been away from the game for a couple of years and after messing about on EFT it appears that the penalties have been removed from javelin ammo.

I was just curious as to whether people think it's worth using javelin now in level 4s over caldari navy antimatter or if the antimatter is still the way to go (flying a faction fit Navy Mega with t2 425mm rails).

Javelin chages lowered the damage to about the same as CN Antimatter but it fires at 1/4 the Opt range.

In return the Tracking Penalty is now a 25% Tracking buff, it isn't Damage Ammo but Tracking Ammo.

So use Javelin on close range Targets your AM Guns can not Track like Cruiser Rats. Use AM fr any Rats you can Track.

To be specific, javelin has roughly 60% thermal damage and 40% kinetic, while CN antimatter has 60% kinetic and 40% thermal. Javelin gets a 25% tracking increase, but has -75% optimal range instead of -50%, so making use of falloff (which doesn't get a penalty) may be in order. Javelin also has better base damage vs shields.

Yeah I use both Jav and Anti.
