The past few days have certainly been interesting, no matter which side of the "isle" you stand on. If there is one thing Mittens absolutely excels at, it is generating controversy. However, amidst the discussions surrounding events at Fanfest, one of the other CSM members, Darius III, has been extremely outspoken against his fellow CSM member. Inherently, there is nothing wrong with having an opinion. However, blatant hypocritical political manuevering should be brought to the playerbase's attention and be open for discussion

Almost every CSM member save for a couple, have voiced their opinions on the matter. For the most part these opinions have been positive and supportive of what is essentially a fellow co-worker, someone who you may disagree with on a fundamental level but who is working with you for the betterment of EVE Online. Like so

Seems like a major disconnect, no? Again, Darius III is entitled to his opinion. I grant him that. However, he took things to the next level. Typical to goon nature, we mocked Darius' responses and posts. Instead of doing what any intelligent CSM member would do and just shutup, he decided it was time to harass goons. Soon after I replied to one of his posts, mentioning earlier allegations of Darius breaking the NDA, I received the most curious evemail:



Strange. Amid all of the accusations of immaturity Darius has pointed at The Mittani, Darius has himself decided that he needed to send goons immature eve mails to gloat about the situation surrounding the Mittani, essentially implying that he had much to gain from his opposing The Mittani.

Not only that, but I was not the only goon to get one of these evemails. Several of them went out to goons that posted replies mocking his comments. From someone who has been demanding the best behavior out of the CSM, this kind of hypocritcal behavior should be totally and absolutely reviled. While the other CSM members put aside old rivalries and hatreds in order to accomplish common goals, Darius has clung to his hatred of goons, unable to separate his CSM position from what happens in game. No matter what you believe should have happened or might happen to The Mittani, at least he is not hypocritical.

No you have to ask yourself, for future CSM elections, do you believe it is wise to continue to allow someone like Darius III to represent the players when he doesn't even have the basic decency to leave in-game events in-game and act like the ideal CSM member and adult he so hypocritically criticises the Mittani for not being?

i hope they elect darius iii as the new chairman. it's about time we got a good chairman that can reverse the backwards trends the current spaz has us on.

Heh, tha'ts The Mittani level smug only this scrub barely got in with only 1282 votes vs Mitten's 10058. I'd be petty and vitriolic as **** if i was getting that owned too.

It's like laughing (internally of course) when the guy that's been beating you up at school trips and hurts himself.

I didn't vote for The Mittani, and his behavior at Fanfest 2012 is why he did not, and will never receive my vote.

Don't you dare say that he showed his commitment to EVE Online's future with that poor excuse for a presentation. The only thing he did was show his lack of posterity, his immaturity, and his utter lack of compassion for the playerbase and EVE as a game.

There's a reason why I have declined the opportunities to go to Fanfest since I started playing EVE, and the Alliance panel gave a perfect demonstration why. EVE Uni and the wormhole corp were the only two presentations that had anything constructive to present, with the rest of the panel slowly devolving from an informative experience to horrible attempts at comedy while waving their corp e-peen as wildly as they could.

Mittani's presentation did nothing but insult the playerbase - literally. There was nothing in his entire presentation that gave even an iota of benefit as to why he was allowed on the panel. Sure, goons may have thought it was hilarious and entertaining, but the public mocking-turned-shaming was disgraceful. I would say it was an embarassment to Goonswarm, but their reputation for being so derelict in terms of being amicable in the slightest is so well-known, that I would go as far to say that I expected nothing less from the most powerful of them.

What is even more shameful is the way that goons are now attempting to run damage control for their Dear Leader. How dare you attempt to trivialize Mittani's actions. Mittani wrote a formal apology, and if his words are to be trusted he appears remorseful of his actions. CCP gave him a month's vacation and he has stepped down from CSM and waived his election campaign for next year.

However that's not good enough. Not for Goonswarm.

How dare you attempt to run damage control for Mittani. How dare you attempt to sling mud at another CSM and HOW DARE you try to compare what you call gloating to what Mittani did. How dare you actively attempt to trivialize his actions with childish flaming of another CSM. You don't have the parts to collect the emails and formally complain, so you come here to gather sympathy for your pointless plight.

I hope you realize that by trivializing Mittani's actions, you are also trivializing his apology. You don't care about anything the CSM stands for or what Mittani attempted to stand for by being the chair of CSM. All you care about is making sure Dear Leader doesn't look bad. I'd even say that you're only doing this because you wouldn't want Goonswarm to take any more heat, but any pilot knows about how terrible goons are.

You may not feel shame, and the ever-present shield of "it's just a game internet spaceships lol" is a very convenient one to hide behind, but such immense disrespect for the community at large is one of the reasons the general public shy away from us. The day Goonswarm dies will be the greatest day in EVE history.

Darius did not break any NDA, if he had if would of been kick from CSM 6 and not allowed to run for CSM7 as well face a lengthy ban.

By saying he did is now just showing how sad and desperate you have become.

By all means attack Darius, he is a big boy and can defend himself and truth be told I have never been his biggest fan but you know what you get with darius, he has never been shy about what he is about.

I talked briefly on another thread how it wasn't us Pubbies and Pub-Lord that got Mittens banned and removed from the CSM, it wasn't Issler or Darius or any other person.

It was a number of Goons and CFC Members that got Mittens banned by consistently posting moronic posts, inflaming the situation, contradicting Mittens on numerous occasions and general making what was a bad but easily manageable situation to a total **** storm.

You want to blame somebody for the aftermath of what happen, look in the mirror.

this will never stop Goons gettin some1 on the CSM next year and WHO ever they want . So heres looking forward for TheMittani's WIFE gettin Chairmanship next year
