You realise that you sound more "goony" than goons do?

Cultural victory, I guess.

Also: Lol at people who think that logging in to shoot spaceships is "attacking CCP". Seriously, what?

They're not going to be "attacking CCP".

They're going to be attacking you.

I dont think they will only be shootin spaceships.

And about that goony nonsense: I don't care how I sound when I make a comment.

Even if I sound goony, I'll never be a Pooswarmer.

Ceterum censeo Goonswarm esse delendam!

And biomassed... in and out of game!

Say NO to CCP-EA.

Were you up all night thinking that one up?

Go on then, explain to us what else you "think" they'll do?

You know what's wrong about all this?

The political BS, if anyone here cared about the suicidal guy, that's using him to bash the goons with then you'd have dealt with this without spreading it all over the internet.

I am not condoning what Mittani did, stepping down was the right thing to do but let's be clear. the over reaction against him has also been just as damaging as his actions. I believe the ends (Mittani's removal from office) does not justify the means (dragging eve through the gutter in the gaming press).

It is probably true that the reaction to Mittani has been surprisingly strong. However, I do not think it is a question of irrational hatred towards him or a political calculated play but rather a question of what he did being something that a lot of the playerbase have for long considered undesirable. Past 5-6 years the game social environment has gotten gradually worse all the time, until we are at a point where it is perfectly acceptable and even expected of the alliance leader panel to consist of drunken ridiculing of each others' rivals, rather than actual discussion about alliances by our most successful alliance leaders, and where newcomers to EVE are routinely told that pointing and laughing at other people's real-life upsets are "part of the game".

When the HTFU line first went up, a lot of us cheered it, and thought it to be about the fact that EVE is a rough game where losing actually hurts, unlike W... some other MMOGs where you prance around incorporeal for a while and get to keep all your stuff. We did not think or imagine it to be used as an excuse to verbally abuse other players. Like I said elsewhere, when Mittani crossed the line, to be fair, it was not like everyone else was being polite and sober in some completely other direction, and he just suddenly ran to the line and jumped over it - it was more like there was a crowd at or across the line, he was drunk, and staggered a step too far in the wrong direction.

The outrage we see (and I feel, too) is probably in a large part a reaction to that proverbial crowd. Mittani deserved what he got, totally, but my guess is that why people are screaming about it still is because it was not an isolated incident, it was just a demonstration that it has gotten so bad that even CSM chairs can do this and people will come to their defense. His case was well-handled by CCP, but if he alone is made the scapegoat here and CCP (lack of) enforcing civil behavior continues as is, things will not get better. In fact, they will probably get worse, and these incidents repeat until someone does die and/or EVE loses a lot of non-goonie players who will rather not deal with the BS or something such.

The Cloud does not forget. Every piece of data that you put online stays online...guess what: It´s not gone when YOU delete it on your end of the line. If you share your private life with strangers then you basically agree on everything afterwards. Thatis also the reason why I think that people that upload pictures of their kids on e.g. facebook are complete retards.(They give away their "rights" on the pictures of their kids).
Dont say you were hurt...you should have seperated "private" from "online" in the first place.

Dude, not cool. Everyone has accepted by now that there is a boundary in terms of what is acceptable, if you haven't managed to catch up, then for the love of god get with the program soon. Also, Mittens took the issue out of the game and into the real world, so he will suffer the real world effects of that. Keeping things in game works both ways.

Also, if you play a game that is too much to your psyche, yes, you are doing something wrong. But that does not mean that people who deliberately make you feel even worse are doing it right, either.

^ That. I hope people realize that the only thing they are achieving with with Mittani hate posts is just fueling energy into CFC. At the end of the day CCPs screw up will cause space to burn. What Mittani said was S..t, What CCP did was S..t. However blood everywhere is going to create so much tasty salvage Twisted

Not really. Jita is going to burn because it's going to burn, nothing to do with all this. A does not imply B.

How is it going to burn when, due to the sheer number of Concord ships that build up on grids in Jita, ganking becomes nigh on impossible?

Yeah because goons don't know how to move concord off grid what with their lack of experience when it comes to hi sec ganking.

It would take even Goon a month or so to ruin the Jita market, and by the time they did, the market would have moved to another "safer" hub. They have lots to choose from.
Kinda seems redundant, but to each their own. Good luck to Goon and I am looking forward to seeing PLEX loss mails.

and CB´s dont know how to spawn concord ongrid ?

this will be a fun event ..

node will go down , goons will be asked to stop atacking the node
goons will whine and not stop
CCP will banhammer a few , more whine , and an ocean tears will be harvestet

Avoiding CONCORD consequences is, I believe, a TOS/EULA breach and (at least if repeated) a bannable offense. In the current situation the Goons face, I would strongly recommend against risking that. They might not have too much goodwill left to spend.

If anyone thinks the presence of CONCORD on grid is going to stop a single ship from dying they are sadly, sadly mistaken.

You might want to learn about the subjects you pontificate about rather than bring disgrace on your corp by making yourself look ignorant.

to make jita burn you need to kill more than a single ship 23/7 for a long time

dont think his plan will work, but well see

I know what a DDoS is, but I'm not sure you do. Fighting a space battle in a PvP MMO isn't an example of one.

I also rather suspect that you don't know what an analogy is either.

I never realized I was participating in DD0S attacks all those years, I thought I was just participating in large fleet battles that sometimes were too much for the node in a computer game.

I'm so ashamed. Oops
