NPC spawn changes

The new 1.5 patch notes state:

NPC's

Changed how NPCs are spawned in EVE. You will no longer get the same type of NPCs in the same spawn.

Does anyone know how/if this changes mission/complex spawns or just affects belt chaining?

I'm afraid ccp might have removed the ability to keep a high bounty spawn in a belt by only killing the high bounty bs, but had notime to confirm changes in any way yet

Yep, they're all mixed up now. I've run some hubs and ports as well as belts(I don't chain, I clear everything), and it seems all of the spawns have been diversified.

Interestingly enough, this ALSO applies to hauler spawns at the belts. I just found a trucker, hauler, and bulker all in the same spawn at a belt.

My hour spent attempting to chain belts has lead me to discover this feature of the patch, it seems that the rats "depretiate" as I chain each belt, havnt found any to increase the spawns so far.

Btw, good to see you again chicken :)

Just posted this in a different thread.

While following an expedition and cleared the forelast escalation. Then i moved my logistic cruiser back to station (5 jumps away), changed into my orca and came back to the site. I was nearly done with tractoring, looting and salvaging when all of a sudden a NPC battlefleet jumped in, more than 30 mins after the last fight in this pocket was done and the next escalation triggered more than 30 mins before that happened.

Now that i read the patchnotes, im considering this situation with a different point of view. The expedition started from a plex in highsec, which is considered as one of the best/hardest. All escalations itself took place in high sec, all of them were easily done with HAC/LOG combo. But the fleet that jumped included more than 8 vessels in battleship size, 1 thing that was optically MUCH bigger than the battleships, like 20 cruiser size vessels and lots of frigs (20?30?), all of those were elite or even faction spawns. i also saw 1 named.

Since this was nowhere mentioned in any spoiler i read before and nobody posted something about this, this might be because of the change. Not funny, my HAC was down before i could say "wtf" and my Orca made it out of there more smoking and burning than flying, was really very, very close. This fleet is a bit oversized for that highsec expedition, and the 30 mins break before it appeared i consider as a nasty idea from some dev out of hell, who now sits grinning in his office.

Really a mess. Next time i know it better. But .. if this is now random and can appear at anytime everywhere? .. funny idea.

Cheers

Just out of curiosity... Which Plex started this?

As i said, i only reveal those information which leaves the discoveries i made for me. Since this is a competitive world, every piece of information i know more than others, brings in my profit. As explorer life is like "..a captain of fish trawler .." - he wouldnt reveal his rich fishing grounds to others, as those all appear there within a few days.

Sorry to decline your request for more info.

Understandeable, however (if it was the expedition i am thinking about - the one with the Mad Cats) info is easy to be found online and it's not like there are any secrets about it. You also sort of asked "How can this be?", but refused to give any further info, so this is kinda funny. Roll

There are big spawns in jetset hooligans, its pretty well known about. Big spawnorama is a bit of a feature of serpentis exploration. The last stage is usually in lowsec though.

I think the provisional outpost (lowsec) spawns 23 battleships. Never made a lot of sense to me compared to the loot pinata that is a ded4. The highsec watch spawn is amusing for noobs with cruisers :)
