Mittens provided a grain of sand that those who hated him so much managed to clench into the ugliest diamond they could manage. I find it suspect how nonchalant you are about the idea that people used the game you are playing as disposable ammunition in their crusade against a person they hated well in advance of Fan Fest.

Tthe logic of what mittens is saying is that he can never accept the Chair, as his role as Goon leader is not compatible with being the Chair of the CSM.

Actually I just think he kicked sand in so many peoples faces over the years that when he did something really stupid they made sure it was out there for all to see.

The only one to blame for what happened to Mittens is Mittens. You can say people blew it up and they did but if he had not done it in the first place, he wouldn't have thrown away so many votes and so much work. His actions have disgraced the CCM, CCP and even Goonswarm(as people will be throwing this in their faces for years). He has undone any good work he did do because that is not what will be remembered.

He is to blame for his own actions, no one else.

It would have been the best way forward I guess but you don't make those decisions. You can't expect to pick and choose the consequences of your actions.

In effect you have given CCP no choice in the matter of your removal since you had taken all other steps. This doesn't mean CCP wouldn't have done what it did. But they have to be in control of your punishment, not you, at least in the eyes of the media, players and partners. They are in control after all, especially in the business part of their spaceship business.

The media and attention that you nurtured came back to bite you, that is unfortunate but could have been avoided. Use it as one of the hard lessons of leadership you so often speak of and learn from it and run for CSM8.

But don't go looking in the shadows for others to blame for this, you did this and shaped the course of the debate. Really own
your mistake and you'll get the respect that comes with that.

Of course he is feeling sorry for himself but I dont think its for the reason you are thinking. I think he realises that if his comment was taken seriously and an already potentially unbalanced person did something drastic, he would feel responsible. The Mittani persona prolly wouldn't give a crap about it but Alex the person probably would (who wouldn't feel bad about causing another human being harm even if indirectly).

i said to myself, meh maybe he was wasted to almost black out, i walked out about 10 minutes or so before the end because i thought, this is just terrible to see someone as wasted as he was talking so much shite, it was like watching a car crash.
but having read this shite, alex you are indeed a self loving little imature shithead. you needed to step down with grace and respect for the players you are suppposed to represent, you do not and will never represent me.

we all get wasted and talk shite, but we all don't do it on a live stream while representing our game EVE while sitting as the CSM chairman.

Probably the best possible choice.

IMO, the game is better with you as the villain you choose to play, and we need someone on the CSM that has no fear of getting dirty when an ugly job needs to be done.

That said, from the PR side of things, neither Eve, the CSM, nor CCP needs the baggage of having 'public enemy number one' in such a visible position.
