Jita burning and future outlook?

Greetings fellow capsuleers,

It is I, the great Mittardi.

I wish to discuss the implications of the Jita burning upon our universe of New Eden. Will the industrialists ignore warnings and get slaughtered? Will they divert to new trade hubs, leaving Jita temporarily (or maybe even permanently) desolate? I actually think it would be quite interesting to see what unfolds. First, it would just be exciting to see how the market responds and where trade moves too. Secondly, nothing to this scale has been done before; it's another gem in EVE history. Though, If Goons act stupidly, they will leave themselves really vulnerable and unable to defend against invasions. Which brings me to my next point.

Mittani comes back at the end of April and say Goons launch their attack on Jita. Being that most Goons are American students (both primary school and college\university level), most of them should be preparing for final exams and other tasks normally associated with a closing school year. Goon fleet sizes could really wane and some pilots might lose their luster and become a bit more clumsy and slow to react. It would be a prime moment to invade Goon space as many of their grunts will have to choose between personal studies or game activity: either way they are forced to sacrifice something.

Lastly, morale might be a bit low and the first few goon fleets in major action might lack confidence. If goons are ganged up on and smashed now, they simply can't recover. It's a similar situation to that novel Ender's Game, in which the protagonist brutually beats his aggressor in order to instill fear in others and avoid future confrontations. A similar tactic can be carried out against the federation with devastating consequences for the goons.

It will definitely be an interesting season. The game can unfold in such unpredictable ways, and that's the real beauty of EVE. Please share your thoughts and predictions, I am really interested in hearing the perspectives of other mighty capsuleers.

Hail New Eden.

Too rational with multiple viewpoints considered. Mittens would have done it in more of a dictatorial manner with only one blinkered view linked as a pygmallion to himsef and his achievements.

I fully back any plan to counter Goonswarm's assault on Jita. It is not enough to pass judgment on the forums. We must show Goonswarm that they cannot and will not rule New Eden. I motion we band together and defend Jita, then we march and destroy them system by system.

Does that mean you need to kill the haulers before Goonswarm kill em?

Good luck with the spiteful revenge plan of 'Burning Down The House' of New Eden. You're gonna need it.

Prices will go up, people will die, other hubs like rens/hek/amarr will get increase in trafic.
Smart people will save their minerals and sell high once the ganking stops or the prices jump up on other hubs.

I believe goons directors and their marketeers will also make a good penny out of it like they did on the gallente ice ganking, as several traders and industry workers will do the same.

I'm also pretty sure that the low-sec industry will florish for a bit with all the items being blown up.

Actually I think its a nice thing to do. As a small time industrialist, it will make the game more interesting. I might even join the fun P
