I'll back you there. Maybe a 10 min delay next year for some quick edits would be bright?

Maybe 1 day delay.. I mean, some people might not of been able to catch on to the relevance of those comments.

Alternatively we could have ambassadors on the CSM able to act like adults perhaps?

So adult human beings never make mistakes? Adults never make mistakes and sincerely apologize for them? Dont worry though, at this rate, the only thing that CSM will be representing is the political and marketing agenda of CCP.

Yes, because flying off the handle like a complete baby with the decision by CCP after the due diligance he afforded them is a responsible way to act and of course validates his apology? The very idea that he now wants to enact revenge shows how sorry he truely is.

"I didn't get my way, waah", is for 5 year old politics. Not "owning" the decision at all.

No. I didn't forget anything you made it up out of context because you want this to be all about how Mitanni screwed up.

I was there for that broadcast. I actually have context. None of that stuff is in reaction to his banning and has been in the works for weeks. Well before fan fest. Cite your source or STFU.

A fair view.

The spin is that it is a "test" of the CCP tolerance for the sandbox.

Personally I'm always more worried about someone calm and calculating than someone in a rage.

TM doesn't sound like someone in a rage.

It's not a fair view actually. He's just going with what he heard and not what is actually happening. Everyone is throwing the word "Revenge" around as if they actually heard Mittani say it.

The Jita thing has been planned for weeks, well before the fanfest.

So... if revenge is some how in the works. I welcome some body showing me evidence of it. Otherwise you're just making it up to support your agenda.

wasn't it the Mittani that spelled out his name on life tv and said "find him"? I am not sure, I muted my sound to a murmer halfway through, because I wasn't amused, interested or bothered enough to keep listening to a man in a wizards hat acting out drunkenly in annoying voices. If I wanted to do that, I'd go LARPING.

The Mittani saying he got "fracked" on his broadcast is sad though, he used alcohol as an excuse and "didn't remember" the incident but that is supposed to be "owning his mistake". Its not, it really isn't. Owning your mistake is saying I did this period. If anyone fracked The Mittani, it was The Mittani himself, nobody else.

Pointing fingers to Sony, CCP or "enemies" is using yet another hat this time, the tin foil hat. Messing up and blaming other peoples for the consequences of your actions. Sad, very sad. Man up, take the ban, lead your alliance and run next year. In the meantime, burn Jita, sure why not. Its the sandbox, have fun. But learn to accept the consequences of your actions not only claim to accept them. Grow a little and learn from this.

Yeah, you did. I just clicked on that link and searched for the word revenge. Not there. I can keep making your points look ridiculous if you want but if you can't form a well reasoned supportable point I wouldn't recommend you keep posting.

Will Wiz be a target? Sure. Mittani has shown us that there are people out there who are willing to prey on those that cannot defend themselves. However, with Mittani's apology, the pilot is now 10b richer so any hits he takes will be able to be cleaned up nicely until people lose interest.

Honestly, I won't blame CCP because this isn't their fault. I'm a guitarist and play gigs on the weekends with a steady band. Let me draw a few parallels:

1. I am invited by the venue to appear and perform a service.

2. The venue will supply me amenities - usually alcohol - for my service.

3. If I break the venue rules, set fire to the stage or otherwise perform the service I agreed to perform in an unsatisfactory or offensive manner, I won't get paid or asked back, but the blame is on me and not the venue for allowing me to perform.

This model can be applied to Fanfest. I've said it before in other threads, but the blame is completely on the panel for their actions. When you give a bunch of douchebags alcohol and a microphone, this is EXACTLY what happens. The EVE Uni rep was stellar. The rest are a prime example as to why the stereotype of "Gamers = Douchebags" is still valid.

Don't blame CCP for Mittani's action. Don't blame them for the open bar. Blame Mittani's premeditation and the goons around him that reinforced it. Band together. Eradicate Goonswarm.

Sorry, a better thing to say would be - an understandable interpretation given current events/forum posts.

Not one that I subscribe to as I listened to the SoTG address as was linked on the forum earlier.

I was not aware that this was planned before the FanFest, and to me it's not relevant when it was planned, the objective is clear as it as been stated by TM. To test that CCP is still "the old" CCP.

Already did also like I said, i was actually there when he was speaking.

Still not sure what you think is there. Couldn't even find "Reciprocity" or "Reprisal" or "Vengeance"

Would you like to make something else up about what happened?

It's really interesting what happens when people stop listening to what other people think happened and bother finding out for themselves. Isn't it?

OK,

Not saying you are wrong, but this is just my view.

(I've posted this before BTW)

If I invited you to a work site, let you get drunk then let you wander into the crowd with a nail gun - who would be at fault when someone lost an eye?

What the MT said was disgraceful. That CCP facilitated it and then has tried to wriggle out of the responsibility with Corporate "Suit" talk is a disgrace.

I don't think you are wrong - as I said this is just my view.

What I would suggest though is that only CCP have the resources to fix this to appease all views and it's not being done. And what they are doing is being done in a VERY ham fisted way.
