CSM7 is no longer a valid entity

I voted for Seleene and Mittens on my two accounts. Now that CCP has taken its heavy handed action against everyone who believes the Mittani is a valuable and key figure of CSM7 regardless of his politically incorrect gaffe, this CSM is completely invalid.

Either have a revote to allow the 10k to place their vote in whom they think is a better chairman, or just disband CSM. They are no longer player representatives and are now a CCP chosen politically "right" image to present to its partners and the media as a whole.

Voting for an idiot that gets himself fired and banned is you own problem.

You should be content that Mittani the Great got off easily after his misconduct. Only 30 days ban? All of you should be content.

If I were to do the same thing, my account would've been banned already.

What if I told you that:
1) I'm not a Goon
2) This is my main
3) That as a person I can like Goonswarm and not be in Goonswarm (because :tenbux:)
4) CCP tossed the Mittani under the bus to save face

I know you're prolly a bad troll just like the other bads in this thread, but just had to clear that up. I recently resubbed a bit before CSM7 campaigning began because it seemed EVE was head in the correct direction. It still seems that way, but this particular misstep is nothing more than a kneejerk reaction that invalidates the opinions of 10000 people.

Until there is a revote, this means that the CSM is essentially meaningless and next year, (if I still play) I will be voting for the most terrible candidate there is. I feel that 10000 other players are similarly disenfranchised and their voice needs to be heard.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled bad paosting.

No. I have no disrespect for the Goons. Prior to Mittani the Great's misconduct, if anyone was to ask me of my opinion on Goons, I would've only said positive things.

Your representative fked up your vote. Do not blame CCP for his COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE. You should be angry at Mittani the Great for wasting your valuable votes. Not CCP.

Just because it's so easy to crucify the mittani and overlook the fact that the entire concept of the CSM is tossed in the bin with this move, doesn't mean I will.

But you are entitled to your opinion, just as I have mine.

If Goon alts are calling for a re-vote or disbanded, then democracy must be working as intended. Glad I could lend a hand to create freshness in the CSM.

You are full of incoherence huh. If it was another candidate not voted by you, you would've been telling the CCP to burn him on the stake.

You are a hypocrite in the business of selling your incompetence and incoherence in the den of thieves.

The thirteen other candidates on the CSM got a total of 77% of the votes, or 34,238 votes. Sounds quite representative to me.

And you are blinded by the selfsame hypocrisy you accuse me of. You also presume to know what I would/wouldn't do. Thank you for your supportive bump of my thread, however.

Representative of those who voted for them. Not me or 10000 other players. Feel free to post again though.

Sounds to me like a man who owned his error, apologized for it and is now slightly upset for being used as a PR/marketing tool. Great personality IMO. Thanks for sharing.

I completely agree that CSM7 is now invalid. I think a complete revote it needed.

Well, that's another thing. In your first post you clearly said "They are no longer player representatives" and that's wrong. They are still player representatives even if you or 10000 other players didn't vote for them. What you should've said to begin with is "I am sad because the candidate I voted for messed up and resigned". If you look closely you can see that these two messages are not quite the same.

And just because you feel that my opinion is worthless because The Mittani made an error, does not in fact, make this true. Cause that's like, your opinion, man.

The candidate broke the "law" (virtual and probably some real) and was penalised. There is no takesy-backsy when the horse you decided to bet on turns out lame Smile

Default answer. Come on guys, take it like the badasses you are supposed to be. Considering how it could have been viewed, 30 days isnt much, and still forums, in game and a ton of other ways that can still allow talks and more about what is important to eve.

To others, Save your time, copy and paste this. Statement from the devs, so if you wish to argue, please do so about any part of this you feel was wrong.

It goes without saying that CCP deeply regrets this incident and will work towards reducing any possibility of this happening again in the future.

Stuff about TOS/EULA and generic 10k have already voted, deal wit it.

I agree, the TOS/EULA was violated and Mittens was punished. However, 10000 players were also punished along side him. There is no ~deal wit it~ unless CCP also want to declare that the CSM is a politically correct marketing tool chosen by them and not the players.

The problem is not with 30 day ban. The problem is that it is the beginning of CCP once again screwing up player dynamics. There are ways in EvE to deal with people you don't like.....YOU BLOW THEM UP. Why don't you all Goon haters form up fleets and go blow up one of the Goon systems or something. Keep it in game, keep it interesting. All this is just like one of those WoW/Runescape games... disgusting.
