From what people are saying, the dude is a ******* 37-year-old. No one should be immune to ridicule and contempt for their actions in EVE, nor for their attempt to bring their own ****** life into EVE. In every post scam/gank conversation you have in EVE, you will usually assume that someone is lying for pity or to make you feel bad.

Since you decided to put on the serious pants I guess I will too. Trolls ingame do this kind of stuff all the time. Hell, I've gotten death threats from people I've scammed. But they didn't get 30 day bans.... Now. I don't condone asking someone to kill themselves because that's flat out wrong. But, I know far too many people who would take enjoyment out of trolling someone into thinking their suicidal.


Time to start petitioning and see if CCP applies the EULA properly if it is not in public and not a controversial figure...

It's just a game, you don't hate the other person in real life. even if you hate his character.


A few of us have entire folders of death threats saved up. I'm pretty sure the petition function is being put under a "Stress Test" right now.

You are good as long as you don't actually tell him to go through with it. It may be in bad taste to wait until you complete the scam to send the petition to CCP telling them the dude is suicidal, but you will probably get away with it.

Would you rather have criminal laws apply than ToS/EULA?

Encouraging suicide in itself is equated with assisted suicide according to recent rulings in various courts in the western world, so unless you are a medical doctor living in one of the very few countries where such practices are legal you can be found guilty of murder/manslaughter.
Encouraging others to drive a person to suicide ........ I don't even want to think what the legal system would do for that ...

He got off insanely easy, thirty days is nothing (hell, even a perma-ban is nothing these days) and the chair is not that important since it will still be held by null to further the agenda of null. Chair/CSM was a bit of ego, but by my estimation he has some to spare.

Biggest shame is that the 10k extra votes in this years election have just been Nullified making it the worst election to date .. Smile
