CCP,

Thank you for taking appropriate action against someone who was dragging down the rest of the EVE community. Mittani misrepresented the entire playerbase and make us look like degenerates to the outside world.

You are going to have people complain and whine for a while, but just know there are an equal number of players who believe you did the right thing. We support you and the removal of mittani as the CSM 6 chair and a participant of CSM 7.

They made the right call in this case.

I would have perma-banned him. The Mittani is a psychopath. I just read what he wrote on the Goon forums about this whole thing, and look at this gem....

You do not speak for me. Mittani did a good job as the CSM chair. He made a mistake and owned up to it with out any prompting other than his own moral compass.

We would be better off if he were in place still. This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion simply by being in the public eye. CCP is over reacting and performing their PR damage control poorly as they always do.

Don't speak as if you represent all of us. Mittani may have made a mistake but that doesn't mean he's incapable or ill suited for a job he's proven he is good at. You've clearly forgotten how ineffective the CSM once was.

Also if you're going to be angry at some one for "Misrepresenting the player base and making us look like degenerates" how about taking a look at the guy that threatened suicide over a video game? I'm not fan of victim blaming but that sort of behavior is far more shocking than mocking some one.

Threats like that are made to get intention, they are rarely if ever followed through with. I'm more ashamed of that guy than Mittani. Which is not to say what Mittani did was ok but FFS neither was his public cry help stuff.

+1 - being represented by an abusive alcoholic is bad for the game. I didn't think CCP would take action against him due to his making friends with so many devs as part of the usual circle-jerk CSM activities, but they proved me wrong.

Great work CCP, giving the trash such a stern penalty really brings back confidence in your decision-making.

From the company that posted a music video suggesting people "harden the **** up", you sure are acting impulsively in reaction to an improper joke. A real "hard" man would accept an honest apology and move on. A lesser man would worry about politically correct comments and react impulsively. It's pretty clear what happened here.

CCP, I hope this was Sony's call and not yours, but either way - you lost a bit of respect from me today. You also cast doubt on the legitimacy of your CSM panel. I hope you at least have the sense to have a revote.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad, it is like they are trolling themselves now. Reading his sincere and yet inexplicably time delayed apology coupled with the excuse of drunkeness for his behavior, I thought that perhaps, regardless of how obvious it was that if played correctly, could actually allow this all to blow over. The drunken excuse doesn't work when you consider that he put the slide into the show ahead of time, his power point presentation did have too many shots and make a mistake. Besides which, I have been as drunk as a person can be without going to the ER in this life on more occassions than I would like to admit and without fail the only time I ever conveniently forgot what happened the night before was when I woke up with a fat chick.

The reponse of the rest of his peoples could not have been better orchestrated to further inflame the issue and force CCP to do what they did.

I'm sure 'Mega-jews' won't show up anywhere in the future to continue to shine the community as a whole in a bad light. I'm sure he just meant they were very in their belief system.
