I once told an assisted suicide advocate to "off himself" while I played WoW. Does this count as a breach of the EULA/TOS, will I get banned for this?

I harrased 4 guys at work today, 2 of which pay EvE, when does my Ban start?

Darius III has harassed numerous players outside and inside of Eve-Online. When does his ban start?


He also advocated for people to continue on a despicable trend of defamation of character against Mittani. When does his ban start?

Did he harass you for days on end after the incident? Did he call his corpmates in to harass you constantly?

That's harassment. Not posting "lol failfit" at your crappy ship.

And yet they werent banned for that. One person was banned for talking about it OUT OF GAME with a group of other players who would have done the same thing and also found it hilarious including the CCP moderator at the time who was smiling in the corner.

EULA agreements should in no way jeopardize our right to free speech or our right to as pvpers to ridicule stupid people.

Also, since when is a person in EVE telling their alliance members a player's name followed by the words "find him" classified as harassment? If we hunt people down in EVE, is that not part of the game? How long before all FCs are thus banned for "harassment" for telling players to kill someone IN EVE?

The difference between what happened with The Mittani and most of the examples here is that he connected in game actions with feasible real life consequences (even if the specific pilot claims to not be bothered by it) and that is against the EULA. Furthermore, in the forum in which he was speaking he was participating in what he himself has called the Eve Metagame--he was in game when he made those comments. In this case it was not simple Eve mails or conversations either. It was very public comments that could result in very real out-of-game issues for CCP and (If the Mack pilot wasn't such a good guy) for The Mittani.

I support The Mittani now more than ever before and look forward to seeing Jita light up on his return, but I can see clearly that he did violate the EULA and is dealing with the relevant penalties. To do anything else would be damning to both Alexander and CCP.


EDIT: Just wanted to add a note in response to a nother question or two: "Freedom of speech" in no country means that a private or publicly held company cannot maintain some expectations at their own events. Areas that have such freedom have it only as a protection from government interference.
