Wrong. They are going to come to hi sec to play with all the little people who they feel insulted by. Glad I don't live in hi sec, personally.

If goons made hi sec unplayable CCP would end up buffing concord or something lol...

They would do nothing but HELP the carebears... in the end...

That being said... what they gona do gank hulks/macks again? lulz.

What about a system wide hellcamp? Say for instance, Jita? Image what that would do to EVE's already crippled economy.

Finally encourage people to use regional markets, as they should have a long time ago? Smile

Very good! I like how this out of game debacle is being turned into something in-game. It is part of the magic of EVE Online and the whole political landscape has just been shook up. It will be very interesting to see how Goonswarm reacts and what response to that is mustered.

I'm still getting out of Jita though ... time to go hide in my bolthole Lol

And yea, verdict was light.

Did you vote? Do you understand what a democracy is?

In case you're a sub-literate drooling internet dweller than never reached the basic standards required to understand participatory government, here's a definition.

democracy: government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

And by kicking The Mittani out of the CSM they are ignoring over 17% of the active voters in the entire process.

I have no illusions about Mittens being on the CSM. He's gone.

However in situations like this what should happen is a recall election. Let me cast my vote elsewhere. Two Step is likely to get one of them just for being a chill space bro.

Lets look at the american way... you can win the pop vote and still lose... why... because the electoral college was put in place to prevent the people from making a bad choice LOL...

LOOKS LIKE RL WORKING FINE IN EVE... ccp has removed the players bad choice.

I know what democracy is...
matter of fact I was on 3 political functions and I was elected for them in RL.

And i also know what the felony is.

And in what system did you get elected to where the elected person was replaced by some random person in the crowd? This is voter nullification. If you give a **** about your ideals you claim to have worked for at some point you would realize that a recall election should be in the cards.

If elected person commits a felony he must be replaced.
At least thats what its like in countries where the law is ruling and laws mean something.

Yeah and he's replaced in a recall election. Not by random fiat, or by picking the next guy in line.

Reposting in this thread since there's two on the same subject right now. I'm sure one will be closed eventually, but until then...

That's not how it works. If a President is impeached and removed from office, they don't just hold a new Presidential election right then and there. There's an order of succession, and that's what will take over.

I can understand feeling disenfranchised right now. The person you voted for, and who won in what can only be described as a massive landslide, will not in fact be holding the position he was elected to. It seems unfair. Unfortunately, that's how the process works.

When you make a choice that doesn't work out for you, you can't just suddenly demand to do it over with new options. You have to live with the consequences of your choice. You chose a person who later committed actions that caused him to be removed from office.

Such is life.

He is replaced by the rules written in the law of that country.
I think CCP needs to expand their "laws" on this subject for the future.

Indeed, The Mittani is not a president - he is (was) a member of the CSM. This is essentially a By Election; nothing more.

It would be good to remove the 17% that voted for people like this. Its a direct endorsement of similar activities. Purge those in opposition to the collective good. They are paper communist created of opportunity of the few instead of the whole. Round up and purge the Bourgeoisie, this cancer on our EVE.

I will, it's nice when your agenda is pushed isn't it? I mean you had last year so you would know all about that.

i'm actually sympathetic to the goons.. crazy times.

Mittens shouldn't have resigned. CCP can take whatever course of action they wish, but this sort of goon hate from the player base is uncalled for. If you lived outside of high sec maybe the goons wouldn't be such a big bad scary menace to you. Bear it up more. I hope goons gank everyone.

Irony: apparently a lot of our long term worst enemies are planning on sending their own fleets down to the "Jita Holocaust" to help us out.

I know I made the first 2 posts in this thread and if you take them literally it sounds like I hate goons but I seriously don't at all. Having said that, the '17%' weren't ignored but you had your golden ticket and his unfortunate choice of humour has cost you all. Blaming CCP for his indiscretion seems short-sighted.

Doesn't matter if the mittani was kicked or (pfffpppttchh) D3 was kicked. Players voiced an opinion and now their opinion was cast aside. This cheapens the entire process and a revote needs to be done.

i just think it needs to be said.

why are you mad at CCP? The Mittani should have known the rules, ignorance is not an excuse. you are the ones who wasted your votes and possibly money to get a man in office that lost it before it even started.

i will enjoy seeing you guys try and "destroy" highsec. its great on the bank account

should have thought of this possibility before all you goontards put all your eggs in one basket.

Are you REALLY surprised that someone who has pushed the boundaries of acceptable behavior finally pushed too far?

hate the player, not the game!

I know this is useless to try to explain but, I've got to try.

CCP did not remove him. Just gave a 30 day ban.
The Mittani resigned from the CSM as he said he would.
In fact, he honored all three of the steps he said he would.

In democratic elections, if for any reason a winning candidate cannot serve, there is no re-vote.

Nothing clever at this time.
