No, it's not. Well, not, if I am counted among the idiots (reported for flaming, btw).

I think I'll make a separate post about it, but what I want is an EVE where scamming, baiting, blobbing, ganking, trapping, and using clever tricks is still allowed, where we can have PR wars and gloat on locals about how wonderful players we are, and where there is no guaranteed safety and total opt-out of pvp. I also want an EVE where it is not acceptable behavior to point and laugh when someone is obviously RL upset about losing, to use stage time in a CCP event to humiliate and berate your rivals rather than talk about what you do well, or to flame people on the public forums, and where racist/sexist/homophobic slurs are grounds of immediate warnings and bans.

I do not see those as contradictory. I doubt most of the community does.

You are implying that this issue is subjective. To you it didnt sound like a joke, to many other people here it did. If this matter is subjective, which you have implied, then it is not as black and white as you have spent many hours making it out to be. As it is subjective, not black and white, or blue for that matter, lets just wait for CCP to make a decision.




Yeah whilst Im pretty clear what I think of what ALexander said, I do think in his mindblown drunken self deluding way he thought he was joking. Hes an idiot because he didnt think of the consequenses or the implications of his words. But I dont think for a second he actually wanted sombody to get hurt. Thankfully nobody has that however is through good luck not good management.

They're not. They're committing faux outrage in an attempt to seize on what they feel is a perceived weakness of Mittani and Goonswarm. Specifically, note that the outrage of this didn't happen until AFTER the CSM7 results came out. This is a manufactured scandal born from the anti-Mittani, anti-Sandbox elements of the game.

That's why we haven't seen any feedback from CCP from this. They literally don't give a flying ****.

Ok clever dude, did he give a real name? No. Is it any different to 95% of the bad posters on kugu or any of the other eve related public forums say every day? No. Is it any different from the kind of chat that goes off in local chat day in, day out in eve? No.

Drink does that to you. Also, the chances of him going through with the suicide is slim to none. If everyone who has said they were going to kill themselves actually did it I would be classed as a mass murderer. I would have contracted aids, cancer and been hit by a bus hundereds of times.

He didn't "promise" a resignation. He said he was going to talk with the rest of the CSM about it, which is the right way to go about things. It doesn't matter what you want, Miss Ineffective CSM. It matters what CCP and the rest of the CSM want.

OK.. I really do not know what to say. I am at a loss for words with all that is going on.

I guess I should say that this is not about someone alt in eve.
This is not about someone losing isks they worked for.
This is not about someone losing a machanaw in the game.
This is not something I started. I was really shocked to see the video monday night when I finaly had time.

This is all really about a person that is over joyed in making some one hurt as much as they can in real life not in game.
Going by his power point I have to say he thought about it long before getting drunk.
If thowing my name out there was something he planed to do or not that I can not say, and we will never know for sure.
But when reflect the way he talked about my mail. I am sure that was an option he was holding on to and tossing up becouse he was really enjoying tomenting someone.

I am sorry this is not the alt in the game that is talk but the person playing the alt.

There are allot of people out there that have real life problems, but they are warned when they join Eve. Whats said and done in the game doesn't bother me, its all part of Eve.

To me this **** got real and hurt full when I watched a video where a complete stranger urged other complete strangers to try make me kill myself.
