For Explorers, The next major system number expansion, Deep Jumps

For those who love exploration and venturing into the unknown, you have probably explored everything that is to explore, been in every region and dabbed into at least 10% of WH systems.

I understand the reasons why we can't introduce them just like that [hard enough to stalk war targets with this many already] even though it'd **** myself if 2000 appear next major update.

Just like Wormholes were introduced with a new way to traverse through so could the next set of systems. Just make it a lot harder.

For the lack of a better term lets call them 'Deep Jumps'.



DEEP JUMPS FEATURE EXAMPLES

Sec status will be -1.0 to -2.0, just for identification.

So let's start with 2000 new system. They are added to the outside of our glorious matrix of systems.

To traverse these systems you need some kind of fuel that is acquired in these new systems.

No sovereignty.

The fuel is in your clone not the ship you are flying in.

If you run out of fuel you are ejected from your ship.

Plop down random sites and scannable complexes things.

New minerals in asteroid belts. New , harder?, rats.

A few (2-4) ancient stations of 1.0 enforced space. No clone bays.

Jumps between systems take 5min - 15min to complete.

Logging off doesn't stop the fuel from consuming.

1*% chance of finding something cool.




It doesn't matter how this is achieved.

1. Alliances or even large gangs have no power here because they are too impractical
2. Something to explore, yey
3. You can't stay here for a prolonged period of time before returning to 0.0 or empire
4. Traffic will be so low for majority of the systems you can run it on one server! *maybe







PS : Sorry CCP except for the changes to Crimewatch you did not blow my skirt up with anything at Fanfest (I don't use missiles). I almost threw up when I saw the tank from Dust 514 resemble the one from Halo. (Not to mention that guy trying to jump on the tank like in Halo)



OPTIONAL : Gate(verb) WH systems and use Deep Jumps to traverse them.

OPTIONAL : Don't allow POS's

OPTIONAL : Can only refuel in empire.

Also, what's the point? It's a place you can't get to (if the fuel is only found in the new place, how do you get to the new place to find the fuel?)

How do you refuel a clone? What happens if you're docked in one of those stations when your clone runs out of midichlorians? What happens when you jump clone out of one of these stations? How long do you get in the secret place before you lose your ship?

Not only is it a bad idea, as usual, but it's not even finished.

D-, must try harder.
