[quote=Andski]So what happened to Everyone's favorite Bob stalker, and Mittens mouthpiece(Alt?) Ladie Harlot?

Seems like her non stop diatribe died about the time Mitten decided to apologize? And I can't remember the last time that happened..... Shocked

People who want to support Mittens in this should have stopped when he apologized, to make his apology more believable. Maybe some of them actually get that?

Have you considered GSF might want to be known as a Cyberbully supporting Alliance?

So this whole flamewar over MittaniGate can go one of two ways.

Either the causehoars will cry so loudly that CCP and Sony's relationship may be damaged, EVE will suffer, and DUST will be a flop; OR, we use the upswing of anti-Goon fervor to generate legitimate and engaging In-Game RP, create an awesome PR moment for CCP, and show DUST players why EVE is the champion of bad***ery and emergent gameplay.

In the spirit of "EVE is Real," I say we take the hate into space, and take the fight from the forums to the Goons themselves. So what if they have the single largest armada in EVE, that just makes the achievement all the more worth it. Britain had the world's greatest army and navy, and yet a ragtag bunch of colonists kicked the tea and crumpets outta 'em. Maybe New Eden could take a few lessons from that.

So join me. Join the Anti-Swarm. From many, one; one goal, many approaches. Let the fight begin!

[Also, screw off all y'all RP haters, especially you goonie RP haters, this is the best reason for FW I've ever seen in a game]

Sorry there were real life implications to what happened.

This is not something to be brushed of as a GAME thing.

you seem to be getting pretty worked up

you should probably take a break from the game and take a mental health day

I think the damage is already irreparable. I swear some people need the harden the frack up IRL as well.

They wouldn't be highsec carebears if they had the mental capacity to do something other then mine and whine Pirate

I dont consider myself a carebear but some of us are capable of considering other options:

"Fanfest Charity Dinner 2013", of which you are fully aware of due to your attempts to try and convert the proposed idea into a political vehicle for your own purposes.

Nice idea but expecting 'Crowd Control Fail' to have a social consience is perhaps expecting to much given there current inaction, which could be risking further lives now on TQ

And that would achieve what exactly?

The apology is out of character and what he was posting before the apology tends to back that up. He weakened his apology even before he made it.

Will you forgive him if he sings Little Bees on comms?

He's resigning from the CSM, I personally think that is adequate but it's not up to me it's up to CCP. After all CCP are an injured party in all of this fiasco.

Frankly, the only thing that wants to make me kill myself here is your terrible posting. Can we all just move on from this onto more important things, like Roadhouse?

We are talking about 1 isolated incident, or do you know of many others? I'm not going to take the theoretical moral highground, I'll just judge the individual case. But the decision on what happens is not mine to make, although I can express an opinion which I've done.

Apparently there is at least one other suicide where people believe EVE was a determining factor...

There may be countless others that never made the EVE 'political scene'

Others may occcur in the future

This threat to life is immediate and continuing to my mind and needs to be addresed ASAP

No, it's the one where Patrick Swayze is a wandering bouncer who cleans up a bar then he cleans up the whole town. It's very exciting.

Also I meant he cleans up crime, not trash. Not that I'm against the environment but Patrick Swayze cleaning up trash just wouldn't be as exciting.

So you read on some random website that he's resigning and you believe it. Good for you I guess.

No, I don't read other forums, usually they get a distorted view.

It was on these forums, Goons don't lie in RL do they? Blink

Why is it so hard to see the potential good the PR campaign on this could be? "Players across EVE rise up to defeat the evil Goonswarm Empire"...Makes "EVE is Real" seem like a kiddie pool.

EDIT: Also, I agree that there are WAYYYYYYYYYYY too many ways this could go badly. Why not embrace one way that might go right?

This is how it's done, right? I'm sure the Goons would welcome a serious challenge to their primacy. They may not even have a primacy anyway. It may just be a matter of winning since no one else showed up to play. What Mitt did with that organization isn't the same as what BoB did to gain their supremacy. That BoB was taken down so easily was the result of a fool's guess that in all likelihood BoB's membership had lost interest in the game, and were just a blue shell on a map. That Mitt so easily infiltrated it smacks more of ennui than super-spying.

That being the case, a solid organization hasn't sprung up since then. There are four, maybe five groups that are equal to one another, quite possibly in flaws as well as strengths. So, it's wide open. Whomever puts together a solid organization has the win before the game begins. No amount of rushed stop-gap measures could withstand such an onslaught. They know it. It's possible they (virtually) fear it. Lord knows, Mitt's leadership style hasn't engendered the sort of loyalty that will hold under pressure.

That's EVE. Possibilities...likelihoods and probabilities? We'll see, won't we?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Most of the outraged idiots on these forums haven't even seen the video. A few members of my alliance came on last night, saying that they found it funny, but there were lines you shouldn't cross yada yada yada.

I showed them the video, and made them watch Mittani's speech. They thought I was showing them an edited version.

Moral of story: Save your moral outrage until you've actually seen the video, some of the idiots/alt armies on these forums are just exaggerating and outright lying to try and serve their petty little agenda.
