No tell me more about how anyone who tells you to kill yourself has to deal with the consequences when you punch them in the jaw

and you won't have to deal with any real consequences yourself because YOU BRAWL AT BARS

EVE-O forums are truly debating in the finest Oxford tradition.

Also lol at anyone who thinks that this is going to accomplish anything whatsoever.

CCP will say something.
Mittani will say something.
A decision will be made and no one in this or any of the other threads will have anything to do with it.

I'm sorry, but this is demonstrably false. I've seen Americans drink beer in taxicabs in Freeport, Bahamas with no penalty...something that is illegal in the US. I've seen Americans use cannabis in Amsterdam. I've seen Americans patronize call girls in Thailand.

Not saying I side with your argument or against it, just that this statement is untrue.

Read your passport documentation please.

Also know what a federal law is vs a state law.

Also the girls in Thailand thing is why that put that law into effect just an FYI. To stop sex tours from the USA that were going there.

Ignorance is no defense in a court a law.

As I said earlier it's all pretty simple in my opinion.

What he did would get any other player in the game a temp ban at best.

Regardless if his apology was sincere or not he needs to get banned. If the apology was sincere that doesn't take away the consquences of the action.

All being sincere should do in regards to an apology is show that you are remourseful and that you are a man who acknowledges you did something wrong. It says that you do not wish to be known as that kind of person because of a mistake you made.

The best case scenario I can see for his apology would be a little lineincy in the form of accepting his resignation from the CSM and only issuing a small temporary ban.

If CCP feels the apology was only an attempt to evade trouble then it should be a flull fledged removal from EvE.

It doesn't merit removal from the council, or even a temporary ban. I realize that you're VERY UPSET about him ganking your Mackinaw but that's actually allowed, believe it or not!

Stop posting before you make the rest of the Goons look like morons. Who cares about a stupid in game ship? I was obviously refering to his harrassment of the "suicidal" dude. On top of that your leader himself seems to agree with me and numerous others that at the least it deserves a removal from CSM.

You can try to deny what he did and where he crossed the line all you want to. Inside though EVERYONE knows that if any other eve player short of maybe 2 or 3 others had done this very same thing they would have already been hit with the ban hammer.

The CSM, however, doesn't seem to think so.

And that matters how? The CSM is not above CCP and their rules. I don't care if every single active player in EvE voted to let him stay CCP should still remove him. He violated their EULA or whatever the hell you want to call it to an extreme degree. The only reason it's a conversation and not a "Bam you banned and forever forgotten" situation is b/c of his immense popularity. Hell he is probably the most famous EvE play ever, and if not he's damn close.

This is my issue.....the guy "clearly" deserves the natural beating of a lifetime i've seen the video don't argue with that.....yet you little peeny's don't even think he did anything wrong and should keep his leadership position here. It's specific to sex tourism. I doubt our government is terribly concerned about 20 year old Americans drinking at Fanfest.

See that up there? Up to CCP to decide. And it appears they've let the CSM argue it out. Give it a few days, it's not in any of your hands, sorry~

no it's not...at least not anymore. They just passed a new law that would "technically" allow them to prosecute an american citizen for smoking marijuana in amsterdam. Whether they ever enforce that is anybody's guess but it's on the books now. Keep up with the world it's changing right infront of your face.

Cause the other part of the passport says you are subject to laws of the lands you visit while you are there as well. This isn't hard.

Your embassy might try to get you out of it depending but 99% of the time you are under the laws of the country you are in and the USA wont help.

If they didn't think so then they wouldn't have announced that they are talking with CCP about the issue and amongst themselves where we will hear the decision in the next few days. Also if on the other end it wasnt considered anything, I am sure Mitt would be back on, give some statement or something by now. Silence is just as loud as words.
