EVE Deserves a Stiffer Rating to Reflect How Tough We Are

Short and simple, EVE should be rated M. Then nobody will subscribe thinking it's carebear online and happiness.

Son, as an American(tm)(c)(patent pending), I have to remind you that only T & A gets an 'M' rating. So until WiS has topless or even fully nekkid avatars, Eve is only good for a 'T' rating.

American media has a strange love-hate relationship with sex. That's the problem really.

But I digress. I think EVE is violent enough to deserve an M rating on those grounds. The violence isn't graphic, but with all the crap that happens in this game it doesn't need to be Pirate

Ratings are different in every country. Unless CCP introduces Fighting in Stations (with blood), use of drugs outside of the pods, and sexual content then I doubt the rating will increase.

Also there is that whole "Game experience may change during online play" thing. That's just a warning that things outside of what is listed as game content may occur due to interactions with other players. For example, if a game is about bunny rabbits and is rated E that doesn't mean it should be rated M because someone started spamming shock images everywhere.

So there already is a subtle warning to players that you may have to deal with things you wouldn't expect.

Sorry about my previous posts. Drinking Bass beer brings out my inner redneck. Odd.

If games like Gears of War and Mass Effect 3 can carry an 'M' rating and still be popular with the under 17 crowd, then I don't see why Eve can't be rated 'M' as well. Of course, this also means that an 'M' rating won't make a damn bit of difference.
