It is and It isnt. Its not about the specific person, but about all persons that might be in a similar situation now or later.

Hundreds at the event, thousands watching. And the well known goon mob mentality = gas on a fire and a high likely hood of a real person being killed as a result.

And the goons in threads are only reinforcing the sociopath stereotype everyone has of this game.

His argument suggest that all of one side of the argument is dragging CCP through the mud but that argument is flawed on two accounts.

1) The vast majority would not have taken the argument outside of this forum (public viewing).

2) It takes at least two to have an argument, so by the ops reckoning both sides are at fault yet he's being biased by claiming it's only one side.


Edit: A lot of what is happening might not have happened if CCP had acted sooner. Normally in investigations you suspend someone during the investigation (in this case from the CSM), not do the investigation before deciding.

Well seeing how the guy was most likely lying also about being suicidal...cause I know for damn sure when a person says that they are going to kill themselves they are past the point of no return or just looking for sympathy

Question, if I may, but has The Whis chimed in on this or has he been silent? I keep reading a lot of other people's opinions but for this to really be a breach of the EULA like people have said, The Whis would have to lodge a complaint. Cry as much you would like about this and that, but honestly, this is something between 2 adults and CCP and arbitration agreements. Why is everyone acting this is between just that, 2 adults and CCP?

The media immediately assumes anything in a video game involves children... if you want to keep that stigma around keep bring this up you foolish little sheep. Stop and think of the bigger political impacts your b******g will cause.

I love this, because you're speculating about the result of something that actually DID happen a few days ago, and your speculation is the exact opposite of what actually happened. He didn't get harassed because of Mittens' statement, and that's because nobody listening to him took it even remotely seriously. It wasn't until after some junior Machiavelli decided to try to get the gaming press involved that Wis heard anything at all about any of this.

There's two short chatlogs around - the first one was earlier Monday, and he was pretty indifferent about the whole thing, and clueless as to what was going on (i.e. no harassment). The second was after he had watched the presentation, and while he was pretty upset about it happening, there was still no indication of any actual harassment he was getting over this.

CCP dragged their own name through the gutter by not removing him when he refused to step down.

As I said in another thread, they got on stage and promised they wouldn't **** up anymore. This is a legendary PR fuckup that effects their bottom dollar no matter what Cipher Jones or even the mighty Tippia has to say about it.
