Personal opinions regarding how sick I personally would have to be do to what was done, or how awful the guy this was done to must feel right now - Something awful has in deed gone on.

Personal attacks were launched at various people using in-game emails and chat (against EULA), and it went way too far.

While we might all harbor a fair amount of predatory behaviour in so far as blowing up each others ships, I'd like to think I'm not in danger of someone - out of the game - trying much the same thing.

This isn't about "Getting Mittani to step down" nor "Getting Mittani Banned" this is more about "CCP Making a ruling on this kind of metagaming". The CSM will do whatever it wants to do in this situation in order to recover whatever of its' own face/perceptions among the players as it can.

The real issue here is what does CCP think about all of this? Will/Can they make some kind of ruling here? They should in my opinion be prohibiting this kind of behaviour out of the game between players.

I actually don't want Mittani banned, much as I really dislike this kind of guy - he's the guy we love to hate "in game". I think the game would lose something if he WAS banned.

However, CCP needs to come off the fence. They by now know damned well what has gone on and what a LOT of people think about it. This isn't even an issue for CCP to go to the CSM about - unless the CSM is now the body in charge of ruling on whether someone has broken the EULA or not.

So what's up CCP?

I agree completely CCP really needs to get off the fence before this gets worse. Also yes it would be a shame if Mittens was banned from the game. They really need to stop this kind of behavior, it was an out of game threat, I for one don't really want those to be acceptable.

Agreed, I don't particularly like his kind of personality - but I wouldn't want to see him banned. I love playing eve, I'm sure everyone else does too, I know I'd hate being banned, so I wouldn't wish it on him either. It's a pity his mind doesn't think that way when it comes to others.

He should be arrested. He went live on CNN and threatened to kill a dude, then flashed a knife in front of the camera while giving out the dude's name and phone number.
