In light of all the 'new proposed' changes for high sec security, I'd like to throw an idea.

"Sanctuary" space -- This would work like advanced 1.0….. or be 1.1 space.

-All to those rules for safety apply that are being suggested
-It would occupy an area of 4-5 systems (sorta like a little cosmos space)
-Each race would have 1-2 zones of this
-New players would enter the game here
-New corps could get established
-New players could gain confidence with there eve skills
-No PvP (well, not without great sec. loss)

*Rewards for missioning would be low (but totally safe)
*Mining would be poor (but totally safe)
- limits on ship size
- limits Character skill points
- Agent level limits

How about the game be renamed to "Ponies and Carebears In Space?"

Nice attempt at a troll, tho... 1/10

Well, I'm definitively part of the HtFU crowd.

In the end, CCP is going to cater to the "new paying players" who want something like what I proposed. My thoughts are if we don't come up with something good, we all (high sec. people) are going to have some crazy changes.

How about you stop being a noob in high sec and do something that requires competence.

Those crazy changes can be summed up as "More PvP". Imagine that.

The interesting thing is, this is not so far from what is suggested... just tweaked a little bit and moved to a select few systems rather than all of high sec...

think about that... This is a idea to give a way of having that not happen to all of high sec, yet still appealing to the crowed that apparently cant handle being killed.

Indeed...But given the increasing carebear mentality I've been seeing of late, watch those systems get up to 1500+ in local from day one!

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

Im becoming cynical myself. While I am part of the HtFU crowd, I think CCP is moving away from the cool 'sandbox idea' that got me into the game in the first place and CCP currently is moving away from the ‘eve is hard’ tuff universe. These proposals I'm listing, I really don't like them, but see them as a tourniquet to keep high sec. tolerable.

We already have this. It's called "Rookie Systems". Way to suggest something we already have. If you attack a player in a Rookie System, you can get banned, regardless of how old your victim is. Just look up Rookie System Griefing.

They could just as easily make the sec standing acutaly mean something in this game. As the factions have acepted concord policeing so they just need to tweek it a bit more so that the gates do not function for negative sec status.

Bring back in the black market tradeing skills so the -sec status people can buy through a npc corp agent the stuff they want in high sec but at an increased cost.

Personaly id like to see stations refuse docking to negative standing players but still let them run around.

ps bring on the trolls, i fully expect this to get flamed but they cant come up with proper replys so they have to whine.
