Is there a way you can release this as a real tech demo? (Like how CQ should have been as stated on Fanfest). As this will make people intresting in the tech EVE can offer and also if you played it good, you will get more data about how all the different PC setups will respond to tesselation.

Also you should make more techdemo/video`s, like the Carbon one with the lady and the dress, but also the exploding ships and other stuff you are planning / experimenting with.

As this question is probaly a long shot, this is one thing i would like to try out. (And maybe others people as well.)

And yeah as you say, would make life easier for CCP when they start to develop it ( see how the different players Rig's handles it)

DX11 allows stuff to be rendered in a much more effiicient format. The way I came to understand DX11 is it's the first polished DX over performance enhance version of an older one. They simply took DX10 and improved how it was used with newer machines and multi core CPU's.

EVE doesn't need to be rendered by my machine. It needs to be animated. If CCP want to take the power of DX11 to prerender and animate better grafix for the game I'd look forward to that. I'm still getting cutscene quality graphics either way.

i dunno why nvidea didnt put it up on their webpage , its way way better then the medusa demo

I was wondering if the "fracturing" could be applicable to things like stations, ships, structures etc.

At any rate the demo was impressive to say the least, I'd very much like to see it on my computerscreen.

and i agree having this as a techdemo in eve would be wicked...

Whatever happened to the Tranqiuility "betas" that were features you could enable in TQ that weren't fully finished remember they said they would do it for things like the new neocom etc... that always sounded wicked.

The nvida techdemo was a limited engine with a super cap on rails through a rock storm. A proper TQ techdemo would have been way way more involved than their promise of "just because we can, should we? We'll wait for the community"
Now that I think a fair number or people like the idea, they can start building it for the game. Yet I don't really see how this can be shown as a demo as they build it. Unless they release it the second tessellation is effective and then update maping on ship skins to use it most effectively as they are done (like one race at a time with V3) and do physx later.

anyone notice the sounds in that video? We need some cool sound effects like that too =x. if that's included then all the more reason.

When it comes to art projects. I think this will make everything better for future projects including new POS structures.
