I hope they will keep the current torpedo explosion effect, massive shockwave always looks good.

True, on certain types of missiles. Rockets, HAMs, it would be fine. Cruise missiles and torpedoes etc are a bit more high tech, and it should show. Also, a racial divide would be nice. I'm sure that minmatar use chemical propellents all day long and love it. Caldari would laugh at it though, since their (example fluffy stuff) high efficiency h2o fusion reactions propel the missile at a lower cost and higher efficiency for a given fuel volume.

Only us nerds who understand physics and chemistry enough to care, but not enough to see it's all nonsense and shrug off the entire EVE universe as one giant piece of applied phlebotinum, will worry about such things. I have a strong suspicion that's a majority of EVE players though :P

that was one reason they didn't want to put missles on the naga at first right? (didn't want to let their pretty new ship shoot blobs of missles from mysterious void in the middle of the ship)
