You seem to misunderstand the point. I know you guys can spam nonsense all over the forums - we've seen ample evidence of that every time something in the game goes some way you don't approve of. But you are incapable of posting well - thats why you don't really like the "like" system.


But you are one of the worst posters eve has ever known and yet you have likes. Because the like system is designed so that more posts = more likes with no quality control. You may pretend its only goons that think your posting is bad but its the same on every forum, a jade post is a self agrandizing post made for some obscure ego reasons. If this forum had dislikes and goons were not allowed to use it you would still be negative. Instead you just jump on bandwagons to farm likes so you can pretend to be important.

No. A real apology goes something like thisI have harmed you in the pst by blah blah blah and I must do this at anycost to be able to live with myself, I will never do blah blah blah behavior again. I know what I've done but am not sure I can fathom all the damage that has done to you. What would YOU suggest I do to repair the damage I have done in the past.

Then you listen and endevor to fulfill the persons requests if it takes a life time. and once you pay the price you find you never want to do that blah blah blah stuff again.

Those who cannot learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Those posts don't look like hes learned any such thing.

Nothing, other then it would suggest that his apology is nothing more then spin and not in the least bit sincere.


In what way? Do you disagree the piece was stupid, or that it was in the media? Does him telling goons not to threadnaught in his support somehow mean he takes back is apology? Does him saying he wont quit game mean he has taken back is apology?

Or is it the fact hedares to congratulate his alliance somehow have something to do with it. Did this ice miner own these NC. titans or something?

You should step down. You have viloated the position you were granted as CSM. People choose you to speak for what the things they wanted in game.

Not for you to go out in a drunked state and harass people in "live" fashion. You've made a mistake and it's good that you've admitted to your error.

But you have not accepted the consequences of your action which will complete your raod to redemption that you are supposedly seeking.

A system where you can only express support skews numbers heavily in favour of people who polarize opinions. If I post something that 100 people love but every single other person who plays EvE hates vehemently I still have 100 likes. If I post something that 50,000 people agree with but only 10 love I have 10 likes. This is clearly broken in the name of not hurting anyone's feelings.

  • Whether or not a person in a position of power suggesting people break game rules (without breaking any himself in the process) is acceptable conduct
  • Whether or not a person who said they'd resign from said position of power actually resigns
  • Failscading into irrelevant drivel about suicide, bad press, faux legalese, TItans, carebears, and some guy who spends $345 a month to mine ice.

You don't think there's anything that appears duplicitous? His public apology describes the deep personal shock he underwent in discovering what he had really said when he read the media reports and tells of how deeply ashamed he was by the contents. His message to the guys who are still on the forums claiming he didn't do anything wrong in the first place calls these revelatory media reports 'stupid media hit pieces'. That rather strongly suggests that reading them wasn't quite the humbling experience he claimed.

Then there's the fact that he posted details of his comments on the Eve forums two days before he remembered what happened. Odd that.

And though I don't agree with him much of the time, and thus voted for someone else, he does that job quite well. Further, though I very much doubt 10k *people* actually voted for him (I doubt that many even voted), there's obviously quite a few people who DO agree with the things he pushes for in the game.

The best of it is though, the publicity has happened because of the screaming enemies of The Mittani making a public exhibition of the game. These types fo things happen everywhere and in every walk of life, but they only become an issue when some buthurt small minded person picks it up and runs with it.

Guess what? No one is squeeky clean, if we look closely enough we see the cracks and the ugly truth beneath the veneer of humanity. You, yes YOU, every one of you reading this has thought or said or done things that someone somewhere thinks is abhorant and disgusting. What defines a community is whether it is quietly pointed out, dealt with and apologised for, or whether we allow our hatred to beat up the object of our hate, burn it and kick it to death and drag it though the streets shouting about it.

Take a look at what you have all done here, are you proud? You shouldnt be, you should be ashamed of dragging your community around the streets with a burning tyre around its bloody neck, paraded for the rest of the gaming world to see and hate you for. Because it isnt now Th eMittani they hate, it is this community, your community. Well done.

Whether I agree the stories that have been reported is stupid or not has no relevance. The fact is the story has been reported and that after what should of been a great Event for CCP from a media point of view, is now ironically a clusterfuck lol.

When you say stupid media hit - people will assume that he thinks the stories are stupid and he doesn't think he has done anything wrong.

Then he tells everybody to follow Vile's Rat lead which then makes you think that everything he has said since is nothing more then spin in order to get out of the situation he finds himself in.

What I would worry about more is the fact that some goons appear to be leaking information out there.

You're missing a fundamental thing here about what this is:

He incited harassment of someone to the end that said harassment might cause suicide.

It's there in black and white; whether illegal or not - it is immoral, heinous and against the TOS and quite frankly a sad kick in the face to CCP after all the goodwill of the Fanfest.
