I greatly missed talk of Eve lore and roleplay at fanfest. And the idea of Tony never writing another Eve book is a pain. And for me the irony is the speech the new marketing guy at CCP held. He talked about the stories that the players generate and how important they are. Well, in the weeks leading up to Incursions there where great live events done which generated fantastic player-driven stories, which, according to this marketing guy, where so important. So why not continue this lore-focused aspect of Eve? The idea that it wouldn't touch enough of the playerbase is a completely fixable problem. Give me an afternoon and I'll have come up with a way (that doesn't cost too much) in which live events done by just 1 CCP employee on a free afternoon can generate gameplay for a large portion of the playerbase.

Tony had the goal that one day characters of Eve would adorn large posters like you see with movie posters and their lead actors. This is right in line with what the marketing guy said about player stories, exept it'd be the faces of player characters on those posters mixed with lore characters.
If those player driven stories are really the focal point for marketing, bring Tony back and bring the live events team back.

Ah that explains a lot. I was really beginning to think that CCP stopped supporting lore and live events alltogether...
