Naaah, Prof A is just a very angry about suicide ganking looking at his posting history. Of course, that's totally irrelevant to his valiant quest to have OUR CEO jailed for attempted murder, and I'm sure any other alliance leader would be subject to a similar honoUrable crusade for justice.

Indeed I'll be fully investigating claims that this is not the first time CCP have been complicite in driving someone to taking there life

It is nothing personal against Alex or the Goons etc

I have a histroy of putting you down ingame etc.. you know this I know this , this is 'the game'

Life and Death issues are far beyond some stupid space sim as far as I'm concerned sorry

The line was crossed, even if only one mortal excistance was threatened

THAT IS TOO MUCH, AND MUST BE STOPPED

Of all you things you've said, this one's the funniest, and I'm including you accusing Mittens of attempted murder in that list. Good show!

It has been CLEAR EVER SINCE THE BEGINNING that he never had an ounce of doubt about his misconduct during the Fanfest 2012. He stood firm and resolute in the rightfulness of inciting thousands of players to provoke a mentally unstable player to commit suicide.

These are the responses from Mittani the Great prior to this debacle and public outcry:

"You're not a valid subscriber, you're a NPC alt. The opinions of NPC alts don't count for anything."

"~10,058~"

He even lies to all of us by telling us that he never incited the players to send mails to provoke him to commit suicide when there is a video that clearly shows that he is delusional and a liar: "Also, I didn't suggest that people evemail the guy. I suggested that they run locator agents on him and blow up his Mackinaws - which is exactly what locators are for. "

Him justifying his misconduct by telling all of us that what he did abides by the spirit of EVE Online: "Crying about people being drunk and partying at Fanfest is like crying about suicide ganking and nonconsensual PvP in the client itself."

Since the beginning, he has seen no error in him inciting thousands of EVE players to provoke an unfortunate guy to commit suicide. He willingly, knowingly, and deliberately showed misconduct because he sincerely believes that there is nothing wrong with doing so. His responses explain his thoughts.

Do not fall for his "apologies." He only wrote this AFTER he got stream of news media covering his misconducts. He was scared of losing the chairmanship, his account, and his leadership over Goons.

Damn, this is almost (almost) as disgusting as making a drunken, terrible joke about a guy killing himself. Using this to further your own petty political agenda is right up there with The Mittani himself. You should be ******* ashamed of yourself, it's obvious that you dont give a flying F about suicide-guy or cyber-bullying, but just desperately want to get Mittani out the CSM chair.

Hahaha of course that is the intent! Why would ANYONE want a morally deprived man who has singlehandedly brought multiple negative publicity on EVE Online in a single day, as CSM Chair, or let alone, allow him to seat in the CSM?

I have nothing against Goons. Prior to his unexplainable moral depravity, I respected Mittani the Great. He is one of the most articulate and crowd puller CCP can ever hope for. If he didn't commit this "scandal," I would've still respected him.

I am not fueled by my own "political agenda." I do this because I love EVE Online.

CCP should clearly assess how this case can (and already is) damage reputation of Eve online and its community in the eyes of the outside world if no real actions are taken against the Mittani. Choice is between CCP's reputation (profit) and a single Eve player.

Real balls? It takes 5 minutes writing some meaningless words on a paper. Nothing more. Apologizing is just another way of manipulating people.

So after this, this and this, all of the sudden he is sorry and we should just accept it? Words are meaningless unless followed by actions.

If he was not logged in he could not violate the EULA....

Did he say it in game, or in person?

If talking smack like that(tasteless smack, but that still all it is) were something that a EULA could cover, then the microsoft eula would allow them to sue you for saying the Steve Ballmer is an a-hole(he is, just FYI, been saying it for years, and publicly, still no lawsuit).

Thing is, the language he used and attitudes he displayed are fairly common slang in eve-o, so RL rules on whats acceptable don't apply.(did you know that the word **** is an immediate ban in WOW... Unless you are talking about an in-game situation?)

This leaves the situation in a grey area. His behavior was acceptable as a internet spaceship pilot, its part of the game, but he displayed the behavior in real life... While at an event where everyone is basically 'in character' because its a bunch of internet spaceship nerds talking about internet spaceships. This leads to a situation where people who are simply watching have multiple, conflicting, behavioral cues to try to read and interpret, which means that something that was meant in the same way it is said hundreds of times on these forums, and thousands in-game, can be interpreted in a real-world context, leading to people thinking truly horrible things about someone who screwed up because he was drunk.

Lets repeat that. He was drunk, and he screwed up. The normal response in society for someone who screwed up because they were drunk the first time is to make them fix it if they show remorse, or punish them in a mild fashion to try to teach them remorse.

Of course, the normal response in eve if someone screws up because they were drunk is to tell them to take another shot.

Inappropriate signature removed, CCP Phantom.

But I am having a laugh seeing Mittani squirm and would enjoy seeing his CSM chair burn.

ITT people who think the EULA should apply to real life.

Actually being that quiet often EULA's are non legal documents as some sections of them are generally void in different parts of the world saying it breaks the rules is kind of silly. Especially as it occurred outside of the game. This is more about the black eye CCP has now gotten and what their response needs to be to prevent opening them selves to law suits down the track.

Please explain what scandal was committed because this stuff happens all the time in warfare and pvp and those people who are all worked up about this are nothing but butthurt carebears who do nothing but mission and mine and never pvp or people who just want to see Goons fail and burn who are nothing but hypocrites because they know they have done the same thing in game as well.
