Fleet bonus scheme

Hi everybody

As I get it from a petition by a Gamemaster since Incarna the ability of Wingcommander are removed to get bonus from Fleetcommanders.

Lets get it on

Old:

Fleetcommander gives bonus to hisself and all members in the Fleet
WC's recives the Bonus from hisself and the FC and gives bonus for his Squats below him
Same for Squad commanders

so it was FC >> WC >> SC

What is new copyed from GM answer

Wing Commander cannot receive any bonus provided by Fleet commander and vice versa. Squad commander, however, is an exception. And all members that are not commanders can receive bonuses from their superiors.

In my little opinion the system should be back to the old system.

Pls Like this post/thread to get attension to this problem.

If that is true, that is crazy! Has to be a mistake. First off, the simple fact of somebody doing the coding on something so pointless of a change boggles me. Second, a fleet has only 5 wing commanders, is it that horrible that 5 people in a fleet, with whom spies will pass on info about have the FC bonus?

I agree, as a commship pilot, is tarded and makes absolutely no sense. Back to old please. Unless somebody can give a valid/logical reason of why a WC shouldn't receive the fleet bonus.

Thanks to Lucky for drawing my attention to this.

Right now if you put a Damnation in Fleet and a (Command) Loki in wing, it would be silly if the Loki doesn't get Damnation bonuses. It's a less tanked ship so with that arrangement you take the risk of briefly losing bonuses to the fleet if the Loki dies, until the Damnation moves to Wing. Or you put the Loki in fleet and have no Damnation bonus for it, so there's more chance it dies but less consequence for it (since the chain doesn't break).

That's the way it should be, i.e. containing a genuine tactical choice in the fleet structure.

So CCP should fix this, indeed.

So you are upset that 5 people out of a maximum ~250 are not getting bonuses from the FC .. the FC who does not necessarily have be booster since we got fleet-booster position (that does not have to be in any sort of leadership spot) when the change was made.

Or was the fleet-booster thing taken out again? If so then that is what you should be complaining about.

Either way, the 'Links On-grid' movement is picking up steam .. you may have much bigger things to worry about in the near future Smile

Agreed, WC not getting boosts from FC does not make sense.
