You are in an MMO, not in a colledge fap house with only bad-ass motherf-knows-it-all boys acting out. There are more than one type of people playing this game.

This is a game where players take pride in kicking down sandcastles and stripping their enemies of literally everything they have worked for over years. No part of the game is exempt from this and anybody with serious issues IRL should not be using a game, especially not a cutthroat MMO like EVE to escape them. They should be seeking help and straightening out their priorities.

Are you guys aware that by repeatedly quoting Wis and making his name and backstory known all over the forums, that you do more to isolate him and drive him over the edge than Mittens could ever have done?
The apology sounded sincere, and I am sure that our beloved chariman will settle the thing with Wis in a private manner, no more publicity needed.
Now, please let this topic die already, there will nothing good come out of it.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Due to an overwhelming response of outrage from eve community, we have decided to open a GSF suicide hotline. Should you need to use such service, please undock in JITA 4-4 and use "THE WIZ" keyword in local.

We will ensure GSF members are always available to assist you at any time should you need our help.

No one has said anything along those lines.

If you read closely, they are all just saying you are stupid for taking it so seriously. The Mittani and CCP are handling it, they know you have great :outrage: and will take all appropriate measures.

What those measures are are not your business, or mine, or anyone else in this thread other than the Mittani.

Good that Mittani apologized. and good think that guy in mackinaw is OK. Its the good part of the story.

But we have rules co called "EULA" and I think that law can't be broken. We are not using RLife names for a reason. So there need to be consequences. Its the sad part of the game when computer pixels are meeting Real Life.

Alliance panel was the worst part of the fan fest - and guys - You are not rock stars you are nothing you are just players like others - grow up and do not act like "Kardashians" .

I think that CCP need to think about "Celebrities" of eve... Its maybe too much..

Every so often, I find I am embarrased to even be playing this game.

One plays games with friends. Are we so desperate for friends that these are the kind of people we associate with?Seriously, would I even talk to some of these people if I met them in the street, or at a party?

People with no character, no integrity, and a man who is supposed to be the voice of the players ( By CCPs definition of the CSM, not his, as he states clearly he holds his stewardship for the benefit of none beside him and his) whose great joy in life is simply to make other people unhappy.

Mr. Gianturco, let me just say that I don't believe you are a "nice guy" in real life, we are who we are, and I have no doubt you are just as delighted to give those who have the misfortune of having to deal with you IRL a hard time as you do those in game.

You will not resign, as that would require something vaguely resembling character or integrity, which I think you have none of.

CCP in the end will force you to " resign", if they have any brains, allowing you to save face,so in the end you will get credit for that which you had no intention of doing in the first place.I am sure your recruitment is up, as there is no shortage of vile disgusting miserable bastards whose day is fulfilled only when they can drag others down to their level.

You may rejoice, as I find myself lessened to even be in the same group of people you travel in. Like an unwary visitor to the zoo who stood too close to the bars during a Monkeyshit fight,I am soiled by proxy. Bravo.
You are indeed a wizard ,of assholery, taking the craft to new heights , tainting those who have never even met you or interacted with you.

It's good that you apologized, you were supposed to, hell, you had to. Wasn't really much of a choice.I doubt your apology is sincere, but hey, I suppose it's a step in the right direction from someone who doesn't care about social conventions, norms, or normal accepted behavior ( which, by the way, is kinda what a sociopath is,if you ever stop to think about it)

I get the whole 'Something Awful' thing, and why you think that's amusing. Normal people don't. I get why you think that makes you , and those like you, "special". Really, it only makes you not normal.

I get why you need an armada of bootlicking impressionable psycophants posting as proxies glorifying your exploits and registering alt accounts to steal elections so you can boast about what an uber dude you are.But really, you're just a thief. Not that I care one way or the other about the CSM or who is on it.

I get it, really, Ultimately though, I suspect it may be you who has more reason to off himself than the guy who lost the 23 mackinaws, as all the killmails, and wanks you have pumping your stump as you reread eve mails and convo logs from distressed and distraught players , and titan nerfs and game changes and election results and drunken conventions won't change the realization that no matter how many people you make feel crappy, for the brief interlude their paths cross yours,in the end it is you who are a piece of crap, Mr. Gianturco.

Do not fall for his serenading apologetic letter to garner vindication of his misconduct and emotional appeal to redeem himself from the "scandal" he has caused.

It has been CLEAR EVER SINCE THE BEGINNING that he never had an ounce of doubt about his misconduct during the Fanfest 2012. He stood firm and resolute in the rightfulness of inciting thousands of players to provoke a mentally unstable player to commit suicide.

These are the responses from Mittani the Great prior to this debacle and public outcry:

"You're not a valid subscriber, you're a NPC alt. The opinions of NPC alts don't count for anything."

"~10,058~"

He even lies to all of us by telling us that he never incited the players to send mails to provoke him to commit suicide when there is a video that clearly shows that he is delusional and a liar: "Also, I didn't suggest that people evemail the guy. I suggested that they run locator agents on him and blow up his Mackinaws - which is exactly what locators are for. "

Him justifying his misconduct by telling all of us that what he did abides by the spirit of EVE Online: "Crying about people being drunk and partying at Fanfest is like crying about suicide ganking and nonconsensual PvP in the client itself."

Since the beginning, he has seen no error in him inciting thousands of EVE players to provoke an unfortunate guy to commit suicide. He willingly, knowingly, and deliberately showed misconduct because he sincerely believes that there is nothing wrong with doing so. His responses explain his thoughts.

Do not fall for his "apologies." He only wrote this AFTER he got stream of news media covering his misconducts. He was scared of losing the chairmanship, his account, and his leadership over Goons.

Hey Z

Hows tricks

Unfortunatly the cat is out the bag now and in the public domain, the number of gaming sites that almost instantly covered the story, that may not be the end of this

There's no way to know how far such a 'viral' effect will have just now, because the infection has just started to spread as it where,

1000's of players ranting on facebook, twitter, no-one sure how 'high' up the publicity ladder this is going to climb, what Sony's reaction will be regarding this scandal regarding a comapny they are 'in bed with'

Thats why I warned the goons

Other people than CCP may forensically examine this incident, only time will tell the overall outcome, we are now at day 2 of the 'Mittani incident'

At least he has finally and defenatly sealed his entry into the history of New Eden

***RESIGN***

CSM needs adults rather than drunken meglomanics that can't seperate life from game. Apologies mean nothing without action. Resign, rehabilitate your self, then prove to the rest of EvE players you are worthy of representing us as a man rather than a drunken child.

Yes, right now Goons are in open revolt, with several threads on our forums conducting a poll to see if the Master Larper should be allowed to stay on after besmirching our name with an unfunny presentation. Surely another Karttoon moment is mere hours away.

Whilst all very true, the problem is that his comments were made out of game at a official CCP Event.

An Official Event being transmitted live to thousands of people with CCP employees present,

I'm no expert but something tells those people who have millions of dollars invested in CCP would not appreciate the amount of negativity publicity currently on the internet, neither would CCP partners such as Sony and Nvidia, especially considering the topic in question is so prevalent in today's media and with the growing band wagon of people who are trying to blame computer games for kids running riot.

Why do you think CCP has a rule that you can not post kill mails, eve mails and chat logs for the sole purpose to mock and humiliate people?

CCP know there is a line that can not be crossed, unfortunately for Alex he did cross this line.

I do have a lot of sympathy for Alex, He does not deserves the amount of real life vilification he has received. It was a dumb misguided action made worse due to him being drunk.

I have no sympathy for CCP as I can not believe that somebody didn't think of just giving the presentation slides a quick once over just to make sure they were no crossing any lines, considering the reputation that some of the alliance members leaders have and also that they were stinking drunk as well.

Do you even read what is going on here? The slide is not the issue as the victim was nameless in the slide. The issue comes later, at the end of the presentations during Q&A when someone asks The Mittani a question about it and then the Mittani makes a joke in poor taste. The end, nothing to see here, move along. The Alliance Panel was full of horrible words (and some funny ones), but none of them are the hated The Mittani, are they?

Go red the chatlogs of someone telling him about this today. He's fine, and apparently thought the video was funny.

No one who knows about this seems to care less than the supposed 'victim'.
