Interesting turn of events.

Never thought I would live to see the day when someone honestly threatened someone else (much less the entire cluster) with talking too much. I suppose making his point is more important than his crews lives though, interesting. How many people typically crew Caldari industrial ships anyway?

War always has unintended consequences, Boma.
See already by Mr. Thessalonia's response how you have begun to enter the mainstream? True slave foundations is now patting the Seekers on the back and saying "keep it up" and "Good boy." Your apology to the culture is an overture of acceptance. Boma, you have lost your uniqueness.

You are not helping your cause

No one is looking on you with sympathy and going "You know, maybe he's right.

What you are doing is driving people away from your cause in droves. Look at this, Ston, you have successfully managed to make an EoM Zhayedan, a Matari Shaman, and a Nation Loyalist agree that for the good of the universe you need to be put down.

I sincerely hope that you are piloting crewless vessels.

You speak of it so negatively. The sooner we evolve beyond our uni-corpuscular quadri-limbed nature, the better. There's so much more out there, once you give up your soul to the data-stream.

My good man, the reality here is that SSP would do this sort of thing regardless of whether the targeted parties "talk too much" or not. The nuisance factor of the targets here is not inciting any killing, but rather deterring any defense by would-be sympathizers.

"Airaken tries to make shooting harmless (if occasionally over-enthusiastically vocal) newcomer charity workers look good by pretending that PR spam is a bigger issue than his attack" is probably too long for a thread title? It would be more informative than the current one.

Play on, Airaken; it's not like anyone who matters wouldn't see through you.

I agree. This particular case has very little to do with post-humanism.

It's a rare occasion I find myself agreeing with Elsebeth.

Are STON annoying? Yes they are, but it's easy to simply ignore them and use CONCORD legislative with regards to these forums to reduce their impact.

Not to mention in killing them you're giving them exactly what they want, more exposure and a bigger platform with which to shout from. Considering the outrage some pilots here had when PIE attempted to threaten the same group, there's a level of hypocrisy here, that or merely a shifting of morals to best suit the individual.

Any way I can look at this, it's all a sad state of affairs, and no one involved looks good from it.

Again, apparently, I have to reiterate that this war has absolutely nothing to do with DSTON's utilization of the IGS, and also reiterate that we are not interested in PR. In fact, it is the last thing we need.

Well wouldn't that depend on how good each party looks to begin with?

Personally speaking this whole affair has only reflected poorly on one group, in my eyes, the Disciples. I can admire the Disciples for their efforts in space, and their more well constructed and polite efforts to change hearts and minds. But this affair with the Seekers truly shows the Disciples in a new light. It shows that they are willing to sacrifice others for their ideals, which honestly is something they have in common with the Seekers, funnily enough.

Further, this doesn't make the Seekers look any worse at all. Any pilot that's been around and active for a bit can easily know just what the Seekers do, and why they do it. This engagement for them is, quite literally, nothing special. The idea that they might be attacking the Disciples simply because they were an annoyance is laughable, and honestly, the annoyance only started after the war so I don't see how that could even be the case.

Point being, I expect this of the Seekers and these actions don't reflect on them any more or less than previous actions. The Disciples however, well I quite simply expected better and have been disappointed.

And those onlookers at the side cheering them on like they're watching two drunken men fight after a night out?

I wasn't just referring to the war parties at this point, I really meant everyone who's given their .02 isk's worth in encouraging the matter.

STON looked better before they came into this than they do now though.

STON can be excused for being inexperienced in capsuleer PR, and we expected nothing better from the Seekers.

Who really does look bad in this is indeed the onlookers, who cheer on the Seekers' mindless shooting of a target not even close to their league in combat , just because STON managed to personally inconvenience them by some spam.

Agreeing with you twice in one week is very unnerving Elsebeth. I hope this doesn't become a common trend.

I've only seen a few people cheering the Seekers on in this. By and large people are trying to get the Disciples to cease and desist, both with the IGS 'protesting' and with continuing to simply try and go about their normal operations while under threat from a group of combat pilots that, yes, quite simply have the Disciples out matched.

As has been pointed out at least three separate times now by Boma, the Seekers are involved not because of the IGS mucking about. I'd go so far as to now say the IGS attention actually has done something the Disciples can appreciate. All the threads, all the protestations, have made third party intervention much less likely, and in a way have spared the lives of crew who may have otherwise come to defend the Disciples and exchanged fire with the Seekers.

Perhaps we've all missed the point and the Disciples intended this from the beginning.

If you continue to propagate the myth that this war is a result of STON's utilization of the IGS, we might have problems, Elsebeth.
