Can't make back what you previously earned with a 16million SP character?? You clearly don't know much about the ways to make isk in this game, especially if you spent a summer making enough for a tengu Roll

I see you also missed out on that note... Well, sh*t happens. Learn to deal with it. Because, despite what you might think, the only one who did something wrong here was you, not them. Scamming is a legitimate way of earning ISK after all.

And really. You can't make a few hundred million ISK with your 16mil SP char? On my two other accounts, I can easily make hundreds of millions just by running missions with one char in a DPS-optimized Raven and the other in a Scimitar. I don't even need a ******* butt-ugly Tengu just to earn that much ISK. It all just comes down to knowing how to fly your ship. Furthermore, you can't even fly a Tengu with only 16mil SP. You'll need all the support skills at level 5 (which I don't even have on my main with 45mil SP) before you should even consider flying anything T3. After that, you want to fly cheaper ships (such as a Cerberus or Nighthawk) until you know how to fit the ship, and until you have Deadspace modules for your tank and DPS-boosting. Then you may consider buying a Tengu. Not flying it yet. That'll wait until you have at least all support skills at level 5, full Deadspace module-tank and extensive knowledge about how to fit your ship for the various NPC-types, and you know how to earn those 4bil your ship will be worth within an month without running Incursions.

Just saying. Your Tengu is in better hands now.

this is why eve is struggling, yes its part of the game, but eve has not despite its upgrades, has not attracted new players that will stay.

CCP think the whole scamming, general harshness of the game is its attraction, yes initiially it is, but once you start playing you see that anyone can kill you anywhere with minimum consequence but with maximum impact.

i could take a noob a month to get into a decent ship (bearing in mind he doesnt have the skills to fly it proper anyway) and poof gone in 60 seconds! and this took all his isk, now he just cant be bothered to go through the grind again...

Its ok vets saying their crap, but the fact is when the vets are gone then whose left to replace them?? NO ONE - BYE BYE EVE

True words. I am a vet and love to blap pubbies. However, when I do I look at how old they are and maybe even convo them afterwards if they are fine? If its a 1month old toon that then starts sperging all over local, I might get weak and send some iskies his way. Most times its easy to make out an alt (of a bitter vet) from a newb.

I completely agree however, that there should be newb protection within 1.0 -> 0.8, meaning deathray style blaps by Concord and not just for 15min but for the next 24h! Anything 0.7 and lower should respect the usual rules as portrayed by Greyscale on fanfest '12. Newbs should be able to start off their career, but if they move out of this limited safe zone they should be warned and then be on their own.

And obv. don't make that newb space too lucrative, only L1/2 missions, Veldspar / Scordite and so forth. No rats in belts, so that their income would be low and people are forced at a certain stage to stepup their game and know that what they do from then on in has consequences.
