Exactly. Alot of gaming sites are covering it now, the same way in which Mittani himself called CCP out over game abandonment..... No hiding now

This.... Is the greatest tragedy since 9/11. When I think about the suffering and torment that that young man's family (he was in his 30s? ****.) went through when he killed himself (he forgot about it and is alive and mining? god dammit) I can only hope that we get rid of this awful man who said some unbearably sinister things (said by most of the people in game? ******* throw me a bone here) and those that support him and his evil desires. Because seriously. **** those guys.

Honestly the only victim here is The mittani's puppy. Can you imagine how much that sweet dog has missed him while he was gone this whole time? That poor creature.

For a game with an almost wholely male playerbase, there sure is a lot of drama and bitchiness in Eve Online.

Can't shake the feeling this was all an epic masterplan set in motion to solidify Mittani's position as King of Space. Predict this all blows over and next year he gets 20,000 votes. You heard it here first.

In all this one subject became clear, yes cyber bullying did occur but not by The Mittani, his mistake was too much drink and lets remember no one at that panel took it out of context, they knew how drunk he was.

When the votes were in and The Mittani got twice the result of anyone else people like darius, raiden members and others goons have pissed off in game then they used a torrent of alts to attack The Mittani to spread the out of context event to media.

I have never seen so much hatred nastiness against one person.

The eve community as a whole is lessened by it, the negative spotlight of the press was not caused by The Mittani or his actions, it was Darius and his ilk of pitchfork wielding idiots, it was all those who goons have scammed in game, fought in wars over and over proving what can be challenged.

Probably only like 15k. A doubling of votes MAY be pushing it. He's a wizard not an undefinable power of time and space.

Seriously? Mittens was drunk and that pretty much explains it all. It's one of the most classic jokes that go around Eve over a crying carebear or a furious poster who seems to take things too seriously, 'will this one suicide irl?'.

If he wasn't drunk he'd probably realise how terrible it would be to name him but the fact this has been given so much publicity as if the guy actually suicided over this, just shows that mmo media is clueless about eve's culture and a joke like that is part of it (Not the naming of the person at Fanfest of course). Though it's still trivial, yes even for the MIGHTY CSM CHAIRMAN.

He also gave him the opportunity to become famous and run for CSM, all the haters and carebears would probably vote for him so that's something to think about.

I'll take the time to mention again that The Wis wasn't actually harmed in any way. In that little chat snippet he only mentions what could happen, dismissing the whole thing as being absurd with a 'j/k' because he obviously knows better. It seems that the only people that are still keeping up the witch hunt are people that want Mittens off the CSM for the titan tracking nerf or some other asinine reason.

If he hadn't apologized, some goons would still be babbling about how everyone who is offended by this is a dumb pubbie with no sense of humor. Now the great leader has apologized and it dawns on them that maybe they were indeed out of line.

Thats the real problem i see here. Mittani has so much power over so many people that follow him blindly without thinking, that he should be much more aware of the effect of his words and actions in game and also out of game. The bigger the crowd, the easier it is to manipulate. The Mittani knows how to use this power, but with great power comes great responsibility.

Or he is really just trolling us all, in wich case he really is a giant ******* irl with no heart or sense of responsibility. I doubt that tho, for his own sake
