If true, I agree since that is what the issue about, as such if true all those against Mittani doing such would be hypocrites of a high order. We should leave it to discussions of CCP, the person to whom the comments were directed and the Mittani. Personally, I expect repurcussions to come of this, because in the end there is TOS violation and there was a risk of causing a rl issue. However seriously, harassing somebody and their family, is even worse.

However I hope that goons understand that while eve is a game, it is a social game. Many people game to chill or interact with others. Many people put serious money or time into eve as a hobby. There are people who have tough lives and sometimes a vid game is the only way to chill. Myself, that is how I got into eve, and I learned that griefing etc was part of it. However directly targeting or encouraging grief, etc of a player just to be a player, call it how you will, that can have consequences. Is the reason of the EULA and ToS. Video game, soccer game, chess game. the psychological investment and communication is all the same in the end because for some, eve is a hobby.

essentially eve is along way from the early pvp focused game. Even Dust is going to have it's pve and co-op portion they have said. Look at the star map and how much of eve is highsec, debate like we might, but carebears and highsec is a huge part of eve. Always gotta consider that.

You thought the 'moral highground' people actually gave a **** about The Wis in the first place? They just wanted Mittani gone. Now that they've been successful they can come back down and continue wallowing in the exact same **** they were criticizing.

I just glanced at the Mittani twitter, buddy said he had commented there about the thing, I noticed most of the people are attacking the deal with it comment to start. Reading though, it was because he thought it was just the slide and had forgotten about the comments.



The unfortunate part is Mittani has done great things for eve as CSM.

OK and we are meant to just accept this as truth. Or should we think of it as just another attempt to have people feel sorry for him ?

What did you expect when he commited such henious hate crimes? He's is lucky he doesn't have a $10k bounty on his head like that mexican that shot the black dude with skittles.

Given the amount of lying, propaganda, ulterior motives, conspiracy accusations, etc. regarding this whole event, what's to say this claim of RL harassment isn't just an attempt to garner sympathy from the playerbase?

Not that I genuinely think it is, but after you've cried wolf a few times...

Though I didn't agree with what Alex said IRL as it did cross that fine line of Role Playing (Rule 4 and as a means to violate Rules 2 & 3), He did apologize IRL and In game. I really find it appalling that players calling for his resignation would even stoop to the level (soberly) that Alex did when drunk and threaten him IRL. That is just disgusting.

I really hope Alex recovers and isn't disheartened from the game. His In game persona added to the EvE experience that CCP designed this game for. Hope you don't leave Alex.

Edit: No one should at ANY time, sober or drunk (good luck with that), purvey these attitudes outside of game. Just wrong for anyone that can call themselves human.
