Apparently if you tell a Dev to DIAF like a certain someone did, you get banned.

But encouraging a bunch of people en masse to hound someone into committing suicide is perfectly reasonable.

I think CCP would admit the DIAF banning was bullshit. Hence why the guy was unbanned.

Lol op has a point though, they were quick to jump on the ban-wagon for Hel, for an insignificant thing, yet apparently as long as you dont threaten a dev your all good!
