CCP's plex offerings in €?

Hi,
I'm a bit curious about CCP's current plex offerings.

Why is it that much cheaper to use shattered crystal instead of CCP's plex?

Currently, two plexes are at ~34€ via CCP's offering.
Shattered crystal is at ~34$ which translates into ~27€ ?? That's 20 % off ?

Is there a reason for this?

Official reason is that CCP needs to add VAT to euro prices. However difference between $ and € prices seems to be bigger than just VAT - so probably CCP just decided it's easiest to use same numerical prices.
