What is funny about the OP is that he quotes and answers every thread's replies on individual posts rather than in a single one.

I do it so as to avoid confusion and alleviate the potential for pyramid quoting.

Hello space friends.

My name is Lyris Chronicles of Narnia in the World of Tomorrow's Goonfleet dot Com; the intrepid Sky Captain of Your Heart; the Most Esteemed Spacebook Superstar of All Time; Good Poster Extraordinaire, and Space Friend to All. I come to you today with my hat in my hand and with my doe-like eyes and quivering lip turns towards you, O Beneficent One, to beg Your council on the Dreadnought-class space ships here in the EVE Online, the same being a popular Internet spaceship game produced by CCP, hf.

I am an EVE player of a few years now, and this character is nearing 70 million skill points of entirely sub-capital (and mostly Rifter-oriented) skills and points to do with skills. I have fives in pretty much every support skill that is relevant to sub-capital ships, and I am ready to step it up to baby's first Capital Ship. To that end I hope to enlist You fine, distinguished fellows, in determining which ship o' the line I should choose to be mine. I have Amarr Battleship 5, Gallente Battleship 5, and Minmatar Battleship 5; so, pretty much any of them except for the Phoenix is a feasible possibility. I have excellent armour skills, gunnery skills and shield skills, as well as full missile support skills.

My question is born not of which ship I am most able to fly in a reasonable time; instead, it is of which is best suited for the present meta-game, and which is the most convenient for me to fly. I look forward to replies!

Always a pleasure to read your posts, Nairn.
Oh, and: Revelation because laz0rs.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I prefer posting with my main.

Moros for dps.

For those saying that the rev doesn't have to reload....why would you ever go afk in a dread siege anyway? -__-

I forgot to mention that the Naglfar is the best nano dread. If you need to bump low sec supercaps to keep them from warping out, the Naglfar is definitely the dread for you.

Ed: Also, don't forget to fit neuts on your nano Naglfar. Its really important that you keep his cap below the required levels to just jump out.

^^^ This. Nano snake'd Nags with an overloaded 100MWD really go pretty fast. Line up on a titan, burn burn burn, then enter siege at 450 m/s for epic bumpage.

There must be potential for a sport based on this...

I was thinking more along the lines if Titan bowling. Setup 10 titans like bowlibg pins and see how many you can nudge. For a real challenge, try candle pin style. Lol

I cannot imagine why anyone would want to go AFK during repetitive tasks!

Assuming you want to do 'structure-mining' whilst being protected by timezone and a 250+ cane blob, the rev is your best choice for AFKing.

The Nag actually also shines when it comes to jumping out immediately after ending siege, but I guess survivability is not a top priority in your case.

Lyris Nairn, stop talking so nicely to the pubbies so politely. Wouldn't want you to risk giving the goons a good name.

Hey, so you need more space likes to be confused with the King Of Space.

I'll get there. I only today decided to take this entertaining little ham of an alt out of Jita and put him on the forums.

If you would like to form an accord with regards to likes and likes-sharing, I am amenable.

As it turns out, Eve is onlly REALLY a sandbox if you know the right people. X

Ah well. Wouldn't want to have "fun" while playing or do any good natured ribbing.

Revelation: Lasers, and lasers, nuff said

Moros, more dps, plus their blasters

Naglfar, it's vertical and looks sweet. Plus autos have the best tracking of all three.

the moros have the damage but meh, damage isn't everything.

Erm, the primary reason for a dread is damage.

Typically dreads are fitted for max damage, to do the most damage as fast as possible, as if they are primaried they pop. They are quite vulnerable when sieged, and any tank they have is to prolong the inevitable.

The Revelation is by far the best POS basher. It has the most tank, and doesn't require a constant supply of XL ammo (more room for stront). Archons use the same isotopes.
