[Proposal] Transfer AUR

I would like to see the ability to transfer AUR from one character to another, in the same way that we can transfer isk.

It feels like a I am wasting money not been able to transfer the left over change to another character at the end of a transaction and then have to go and trade in other plex to make up a small shortfall in AUR.

i just want to be able to transfer it so i can send that free 1k aurum back to CCP engineering. i surely dont want the crap.

CCP wants you to buy a chunk of aur to fill that small shortfall, instead of buying nothing and fill that small shortfall.

Problem is i have already bought some AUR and still have some left over. which is a waste my money the fact that i can transfer it.

Who ever goes to a shop and buys something and doesnt get change "sorry you cant have your change you have to come back and buy something else if you want your change back" like that ever happens.

'Problem' is, the ability to transfer AUR means that people could simply buy it with ISK.

That's a stupid kind of a problem, since people can already buy PLEX with ISK, which become AUR, but the ability to convert the one into the other that easily means less reason to pay CCP for AUR directly... anything that makes it easier to pay for their vanity items with in-game currency means they make less real-world money off the store.

Ability to transfer ISK removes any arbitrage potential.

Yes, let us transfer Aurum. This way I can have 20k Aurum all on one character.

The ability to transfer Aurum I personally do not find would be good. You are looking at a second trade currency then. You then run into the issue where you have people with a metric-fuckton of accounts getting the free Aurum and collecting up large amounts of it on single accounts to buy the high end NE items and tossing them onto market. Giving an unfair advantage over others who cannot [find ways to] afford 5-10+ accounts.

I think the only problem here is the existence of AUR in the first place. Your post kind of highlights why. "It's a bad idea to be able to buy AUR directly with ISK, because you can already buy AUR with ISK indirectly through PLEXes"?

I'd do this too. The 2k sitting on my account with no way to get rid of it kind of irks me as I'm so opposed to AUR in the first place.

I like this idea, though I wonder whether they'd end up restricting Aurim transfers to characters on the same account.

Since Eve bartering mechanics already include tradeable plex, it seems logical for us to be able to sell/contract our Aurims for Isk as well.

I'm not grim about Aurims, they've been landing on my characters for free! I'm saving all my aurims for Christmas holidays. Lol, I'm not listening to the grinches. PPirate

Just buy all your NeX crap with one character and contract to the one you want to have it. This way you don't waste any AUR.

I doubt there will ever be transfers. It's not profitable.
